Put a small amount (about a pinch) of Arm & hammer baking soda into a small bowl. Add water until you have a watery paste without any granules in the runny paste. Then brush your teeth as you normally would.
Baking soda works as an antacid.
Mix 1/2 tablespoon of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda mix in a glass of water. Drink slowly until it is all gone.
Treat Insect Bites.
Mix an appropriate amount of baking soda with water to make a semi-moist paste. Apply directly to the insect bite to help relieve the itch.
Throw loose baking soda at the base of the fire by the handfuls. Obviously this method won’t extinguish large fires but it can be very useful against stove fires. The reason that baking soda works to put out fires; 1) smothering agent to eliminate oxygen from the fuel, 2) baking soda gives off carbon dioxide when heated depriving the fire of oxygen.
