SitRep (5/27/2015) – FBI, Patriot Act, NDAA, NSA, Bill of Rights

stuff that makes AH Trimble's head explode

{5/21 - 5/25/2015}

Item #1 –

So there I was, reading some news articles and low and behold I find this AP article about Rand Paul’s talk on the Rand Paul exposes the illegal Patriot Act on the floor of the senateSenate floor about the Patriot Act. Just to be clear, the Patriot Act is one of the most anti-American, unconstitutional set of laws that was ever passed by Congress in the history of the United States. The Patriot Act is purely a tool of an authoritarian government, not a Constitutional Republic which America is supposed to be. But, there is a more specific point to this thing that about made my head explode. Buried in the FBI Director James Comeyarticle is a comment by the FBI Director James Comey who said it’s important that surveillance authority not expire altogether. He said the FBI must be allowed to ask a special judge to spy on Americans. I had to read it a second time to catch the point…”special judge.” So who is this special judge? It is the United States Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court; a secret court with secret proceedings not available to any public scrutiny, oversight, or public record. So why does that bother me? In every definition of “police state” there is this little nugget “…exercise of power by police and especially secret police in place of regular operation of administrative and judicial organs of the government according to publicly known legal procedures…” So Patriot Act - citzens are suspectshere we have the FBI Director himself talk about how we are in-fact, here in the United States a police state by definition and application of our judicial and police activities. He wants a secret court to enable his secret police to spy on Americans without any oversight or accountability to anyone but themselves. For the life of me I can’t imagine what our Founding Fathers would say about that. But I am sure it wouldn’t be anything complimentary.

Item #2 –

So, while researching the item above I cam across an NPR article from December 2011. And in it was a reminder that National Defense Authorization Act2the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act authorized the military to indefinitely detain, without charges or trial or access to legal council, any American citizen it deems “being a terrorist, or of supporting terrorists.” What????  The American military can do that without any civilian oversight, without any regard for the legal system, laws or even the National Defense Authorization Act - military arresting citizensConstitution? Yup! It sure can. And you can thank a left-wing extremist President and a neo-con Progressive Republican controlled Congress. So why do I have such a problem with this, after all it only applies to terrorists, right? Well, here is what bothers me… DHS, FBI,  and the NSA have described domestic terrorists as (this is just a partial list):

•    Americans who believe their “way of life” is under attack;
•    Americans who are “fiercely nationalistic (as opposed to universal and international in orientation)”;
•   People who consider themselves “anti-global” (presumably those who are wary of the loss of American sovereignty);
•    Americans who are “suspicious of centralized federal authority”;
•    Americans who are “reverent of individual liberty”;
•    People who “believe in conspiracy theories that involve grave threat to national sovereignty and/or personal liberty;”
•    Anti-abortion advocates (aka Pro-Life);
•    Bulk purchasers of food;
•    People who pay cash;
•    People who want internet privacy;
•    People who display “liberty” or “freedom” oriented bumper stickers;
•    And my personal favorite…”people who display the American flag.”

Yeah, that is what bothers me to the point where my head wants to explode. If that doesn’t bother you what exactly will it take?

Item #3 –

How much can you trust the NSA? Well, if you hesitate to answer that question at all then you suffer from an incredible NSA case of Normalcy Bias. If it took you about a nano-second to answer then you are evidently dialed in to that disgusting anti-American US Federal Government agency that spies on Americans, collects all emails, text messages, cell phone conversations and who know what else. All of that collection done in direct opposition to the Fourth Fourth Amendment - 4th amendment - bill of rights - constitutionAmendment to the Constitution (a.k.a. Bill of Rights). And they have no problem lying about it; lying to the public and lying to Congress. <click here to read more> But now we find out that it is even far far worse than that. Not only do they illegally spy on all Americans, they had plans to steal and install spy applications on all smart phones. Yup, they were going to expand their illegal activity by putting apps on everyone’s smart phones for complete access to anything and everything that you do with that smart phone. And they were going to do by hijacking (better known as stealing) Google and Samsung app store. What stopped them? I am not sure that anything has stopped them. But Edward Snowden exposed the program through one of his many documents that he was able to acquire and share with the world. Thank you Mr. Snowden! There are many who see him as a traitor. But those are the same big-government, statist, neo-con, Constitution haters that have run the asylum since 2001. So test this NSA move – How do you feel about the NSA breaking into multiple businesses, hijacking their systems, then installing spyware on every smartphone in the United States for the sole purpose of collecting every single bit of personal information? And doing it without a single court action, order, or even the legal system knowing about it?  Does that make you the least bit curious about what other illegal, immoral, unethical and unconstitutional activities that have done and are doing?

Item #4 –

So the Bill of Rights has this little thing called freedom of speech guarantee in it. That means we, as U.S. citizens have Bill Of Rights to the Constitution - first amendment - 1st - freedom of speechthe right to speak our mind regardless of our views or the subject. Thank goodness we have that in a Constitutional Republic! Because an authoritarian government has four major traits; two of which are constraints on political groups and restrictions on the public. But let me in on a little secret…Blinn College in Texas is run exactly like an authoritarian government with no regard for the Constitution. So here we have, Nicole Sanders, a Blinn College student who chose to exercise NicoleSandersher freedom of speech by holding two signs on campus. She was promptly told by school officials that her signs were not acceptable and she would have to cease. Well, you can tell by her picture that the petite, blond, 20-year old Nicole was menacing and extremely dangerous. So the school official made sure she brought along 3 armed police officers. She was order to apply for a permit and the sign carrying, Blinn College Logoif approved, would need to take place in the college’s “free speech zone.” When the student tried to explain the First Amendment freedom of speech concept the school official told her, “We just don’t allow it.” So there you go, our institutions of higher learning are bastions of freedom and, ah, what? A college that won’t even support the Constitution? Yup! A very left-wing, very liberal college. And just for the record, Dr. Ana M. “Cha” Guzmán, President of Blinn College has a very checkered past. Back in 2012 and 2013 she was in deep trouble with her then current employer, Santa Fe Community College. She was forced out of that position due to her “bullying” and “abrasive management style.” Seems Guzmán fits the liberal mold and love the authoritarian government style of leadership. Just like 99+% of all Liberals and Progressives!

Oh, just a note: Remember the college’s “free speech zone” from the article? Yeah, it is about the size of a parking space!  And it is just the same size, concept and unconstitutional as the one that BLM used in Bunkerville with the Bundy Ranch stand-off and many many more locations, like New York City.  Don’t ya just love those liberals and their hatered of teh Constitution!

Item #5 –

John Whitehead rutherford institute constitutional expertIn a May 21st article John Whitehead, Constitutional expert, makes the case that:

•  Americans still have no real protection against police abuse.
•  Americans still have no right to self-defense in the face of SWAT teams mistakenly crashing through our doors, or police officers who shoot faster than they can reason.
•  Americans are still no longer innocent until proven guilty.
•  Americans still don’t have a right to private property.
•  Americans are still powerless in the face of militarized police.
•  Americans still don’t have a right to bodily integrity.
•  Americans still don’t have a right to the expectation of privacy.
•  Americans are still being acclimated to a police state through the steady use and sight of military drills domestically, a heavy militarized police presence in public places and in the schools, and a taxpayer-funded propaganda campaign aimed at reassuring the public that the police are our “friends.”
•  Americans can’t rely on the courts, Congress or the White House to mete out justice when our rights are violated by police.Battlefield America by john whitehead

Doubt him?  Read his book Battlefield America and you will get the facts.
