7 Days of September – Summary

If you haven’t read the post on September 1, 2019 that explains this post…well, go read that post first (91/2019) and then this post will make more sense.

September has been a crazy month so far! I am talking plain ole freaking crazy! And it seems that the months just keep getting crazier and crazier as each goes by.

The world is an interesting place. There are some folks who would say the world is falling apart, I can’t really disagree. Some folks would say that “the end is near”, maybe. Some preppers are in a tizzy trying to get everything done, that’s fine and dandy. But those things are not us.

We are thoughtful, determined, and focused on what needs to be done to prepare for emergencies, disasters, and even grid-down. Whatever happens will happen regardless of what we do or when we do it. You and I have learned not to panic, not to go off the deep end, and not to become a crazy person. But, we know what needs to be done and we are doing it.

I started out at the beginning of September with one goal…for folks to be more prepared at the end of September than at the beginning. I hope you have joined, or will join, me on this mini-trip.

Out of the seven areas of threats I hope you have done something in each category. It could have been something big such as buying your first AR-15 and 5000 rounds of ammo. Maybe it was something much smaller such as a Life Straw. Maybe it was nothing no more than adding 5 pounds of salt to your pantry. Whatever it was…thank you!

So…here is your assignment: I want you to write down something you can and will do in each of the 7 areas of risks/threats. In each area I want you to identify one thing you can and will do to mitigate the associate risk/threat. It doesn’t have to be sophisticated or complicated. It doesn’t even have to be expensive…just something you can do and are willing to do it.

Together we are on this amazing journey of preparedness. We see the benefits to being able to take care of ourselves and our families. And to me, protecting and providing for our families is a requirement in life…it is not an option.

Thank you very much for going through this series of articles with me.

We will prevail, we will win!
