Well, it was time. I really was at a crossroads…refine and improve it our just let it go stale. I was really wondering if I should just let it ride the way it was and maybe start a blog site where I just spout off my opinion on whatever struck my interest that day. You know how I like to bloviate.

There were nearly 1500 posts, mostly on preparedness. It covered the entire spectrum to get a family ready for just about anything. I just couldn’t let it go to waste. Too much good stuff there. Decision made…refine and improve. Refine the design to make it much more appealing and easier to read. Then improve how to find all that information.

I picked the “Greenstead” theme for my WordPress site…and started a steep learning curve. I used AI to help a lot with the coding and little details that I simply didn’t know. Then there was a tremendous amount of back-end work to organize the articles. Once again I used AI to assist me. Fortunately I have a computer background so I had a pretty good idea of what needed to take place. AI helped with data manipulation, etc.

Finally, I wanted a solid and professional platform to voice my opinions and views. This redesign was it. I hope you have visited the “porch” to see what is there < click here to visit the porch >. This was a corny idea…but I like it. My wife and I usually sit on the porch almost every evening just talking and enjoying the peace and quiet looking out over the orchard and the mountain in the background.

Sitting there I often come up with some weird idea that I want her to hear about and give me feedback on. Sometimes beneficial…sometimes cruel and unusual punishment…on her part.

Here’s the really funny part…AI came up with the porch concept. I was inputting the goals and mission for the website as part of the “briefing” which helps with the layout and design. AI suggested the old guy sitting on the porch sharing thoughts with people. It expanded and refined from there. I did get over AI’s insult about the “old” guy…kinda.

Good grief! How in the hell did you get that idea from my article? I didn’t blame Trump for this at all. Well, not entirely true. He is at fault for his part.

We’ve had 12 presidencies from 1964 thru current president; 7 Republican & 5 Democrat. Trump was/is 2 out of the 12. So technically he is 16.6% at fault. Does that help clarify it?

FWIW…Historical Facts (2 of which you might not care for):

• Trump has had the largest budget deficit in that group of presidencies.
• Trump has also added more to the national debt since 1964 than any other president.
• Clinton had the lowest budget deficit, and he also had 4 years of budget surpluses.
• Johnson added the least to the national debt.

To me ALL the presidents since 1964 are responsible for the tragedy we call the economy. As well as the dire economic straits we are in now.
