So here it is…another 3am morning. Yuck!!
I wrote a response to Bruce’s comment last evening, got the post already for this morning, and was all set to go…then 3am hit. I woke up and started to think about Bruce’s post in a whole new light…he was serious and it was actually what he thought to be true. And my first response was inappropriate towards the end. After 45 minutes of laying there in bed I knew I had some rewriting to do.
There is 4 parts to his post, I will have to step back and respond to each. And I will write a personal note to Bruce at the end of my posting. First I will include his entire comment, then I will break it down into its individual parts with my response, then the personal note to him, and finally a note to all of my website readers.
Bruce writes…
Here are some things that you are not taking into account:
1) The Chinese do not have a blue water navy. They cannot attack us by sea. It would be hard to send a whole army by air all the way over here without us shooting them down. 2) The Chinese need to sell us merchandise more than we need to buy it. Most of what they sell us is not important at all. If we were to stop buying merchandise from China, their economy would collapse. 3) The Chinese are not self-sufficient in energy or food. Their energy and food comes from many thousands of miles away and the boats that bring it go past many of China’s enemies. We don’t have to attack China to win a war with them. We just have to stop the boats that are delivering them their oil and food and they’ll starve. 4) A plan is about to be sprung on the traitorous government. The current government is so corrupt that someone from the outside the government has to adjudicate it. There is a thing called ‘devolution’ which has been set up in case what has happened happened. It will be done by a special group of our military who are sworn to uphold the constitution. All at once, they will arrest everybody who has had anything at all to do with stealing the 2020 election, put them in front of military tribunals and ship all of them to military prisons or worse. This will include just about every Democrat in government. It will include all of the newscasters who have been telling lies to help all of this to happen. This makes them traitors and the military will consider them as such. On the same day that this happens, every rioter will be arrested, tried and imprisoned. This includes every member of Antifa and anybody else who riots against this happening. They won’t go to a normal jail or a normal court. They are tried by the military and shipped to a military prison or worse. I hope it’s Guantanamo Bay. I’ve heard they are expanding it to hold more people for when this happens.
If this devolution does not happen, then what he says will happen. It will go to what it says in the prophesies, we’ll have a period of tribulation and then the millennium comes. The thing that bothers me is that none of the prophesies speak of anything like devolution which will solve the problem, nor do they speak of anyone like Trump saving the day. The prophesies only talk about social chaos and physical natural disasters.
Now, on to my responses…
Here are some things that you are not taking into account: (Of course I took into account the things you referred to…and it all went into consideration when I wrote my article. I am not so shallow or so stupid not to. I look at depth and breadth of information before putting my opinion out there.)
1) The Chinese do not have a blue water navy. (Yes they do. It has been well documented and pictures/video abound proving they do have such a navy. While it is nowhere near the operational capability of the US, it doesn’t need to be. China’s navy only needs to be a strong regional naval force based in the South China Sea, and it is.) They cannot attack us by sea. (I didn’t say they would attack our navy, and especially not our home land. However, their navy is fully capable of attacking our naval resources but they would lose in a direct confrontation. There only hope of victory at sea would be an attack close to their homeland where they could overwhelm a US task force with missiles, etc. Basically, run us out of ammo, fuel, and ships.) It would be hard to send a whole army by air all the way over here without us shooting them down. (It wouldn’t be ‘hard’…it would be impossible. To think otherwise would be defying logic. And China has no intention of attacking the US mainland, there is no benefit to them to do so.)
2) The Chinese need to sell us merchandise more than we need to buy it. (Absolutely NOT! The Chinese are in a much better position to weather a trade-war than we are. Their gov’t would simply shut down, or mostly control, the dissension, for the most part. Americans would panic and dissolve into a pool of self-pity, based on our current entitlement mentality. Remember, China has killed between 20million – 40million of its own citizens since Communists took control less than 80 years ago. Estimates vary based on lack of solid information but the 20-40million is pretty solid. Any country that will kill that many of its own citizens can outlast the US in a trade-war. Should China decide to go all out in an economic war, they would defeat us within 24 – 48 hours.) Most of what they sell us is not important at all. (Where did that come from? Much of our electronics, most of our solar, most of our…well, large portions of our retail goods come from China. A whole lot of our manufacturing goods/supplies come from China. Sir, you need to rethink your research before making such an inaccurate claim. See Note #2. And here is one to send ice through your veins…”over half of the active pharmaceutical ingredients used to make ‘American drugs’ are made in China and India, with more coming from China.” While India has historically been an ally of the US vs China, that is shifting and the US can no longer 100% depend on India as being an ally against China.) If we were to stop buying merchandise from China, their economy would collapse. (Yes, eventually. But the US economy would go into a tailspin before that. And the American consumer would crap a brick far sooner than China’s economy collapsing. China has no interest in a prolonged trade-war, they are interested only in replacing the US as the world super-power. China’s trade/economic war would be asymmetrical and the US economy couldn’t stand up to that.)
3) The Chinese are not self-sufficient in energy or food. (True…and that is exactly why they have created strategic alliances with countries that can readily supply both of those needs in their entirety. Please read Note #1. FYI…China’s export of food are nearly 60% of their imports of food. While not a net food exporter, they are close…and closing. Also, China gets its oil essentially the same places that the US did/does. FWIW, the US imports nearly $200billion dollars of food annually, some of which comes from China. And currently the US is a net importer from China.) Their energy and food comes from many thousands of miles away and the boats that bring it go past many of China’s enemies. (Ah, exactly who is China’s enemies that you refer to that are a significant threat to them? Neither Taiwan or Japan would be considered ‘enemies’ in reality. While both are allies of the US, if a trade/economic war erupted between the US and China, neither country would have an incentive to attack China. If a shooting war erupted, why would either country attack China?) We don’t have to attack China to win a war with them. We just have to stop the boats that are delivering them their oil and food and they’ll starve. (Once again, you are assuming that we can actually stop shipping simultaneously world-wide…and that is debatable based on current assessments. And the trajectory shows it will become even more likely they can’t be stopped as time goes on and their blue water navy grows in quantity and quality. And they are not worrying about their people starving. Over a million people were intentionally killed during China’s ‘Cultural Revolution’, you think they care about some of their folks getting hungry?)
4) A plan is about to be sprung on the traitorous government. (What ‘plan’ are you referring to?) The current government is so corrupt that someone from the outside the government has to adjudicate it. (What in the world are you talking about? What country is going to ‘adjudicate’ anything inside China?) There is a thing called ‘devolution’ which has been set up in case what has happened happened. It will be done by a special group of our military who are sworn to uphold the constitution. (What the heck are you talking about? Where did you hear such nonsense? Are you saying that a group of special forces will go inside China and overthrow their government? And FYI, all members of the US military are sworn to uphold the Constitution.) All at once, they will arrest everybody who has had anything at all to do with stealing the 2020 election, put them in front of military tribunals and ship all of them to military prisons or worse. (Wait a second…are you talking about this ‘devolution’ military operation taking place in the US? We were talking about China, now you are talking about the US being overthrown by some secret brotherhood of military special operations guys? Do you hear yourself? Do you realize that there is not a single shred of any credible evidence of any kind that supports your claim? Where the heck did you ever hear such utter nonsense?)
I was thinking Bruce was serious in his disagreement with what I see happening. But then I read the whole ‘devolution’ thing. At that point I realized that, maybe well intentioned and serious in his own way, that was fantasy stuff. It sounds like regurgitation of the culmination of a website devoted to flat-earth, Martian aliens, and other ideas with no basis in reality.
But let’s talk for a minute about the ‘devolution’ military operation concept Bruce was referring to. That would be the last thing I would want to see happen in the US! Why? Because I am a Constitutionalist, an orginalist. No where in the Constitution does it allow for, or authorize, or legalize any kind of ‘devolution’…thankfully!! And why so? Because that would be a military coup! And the Founding Fathers feared a standing army and they would never envision canonizing something even remotely resembling ‘devolution’. It would go against every fiber of their beings, everything they fought and died for.
Granted, I am not a fan of Joe Biden and the 2020 election outcome. But there is a Constitutional and legal system process to deal with it. Dealing with it appropriately was attempted…and it failed, end of story. The 2024 election can politically deal with it…appropriately. If the system is so screwed up that the Constitution is effectively overthrown, then the Declaration of Independence outlines what the next course of action can/should be. Not some bunch of hyper-militarized whack jobs thinking they are the guardians of the universe.
Thankfully the whole ‘devolution’ thing is complete hooey! But, if it weren’t…it would be the worse thing that would have ever happened to the United States of America. For it would bring in a totalitarian regime with the full weight of the military behind it. That is called a military dictatorship! And that is about as unAmerican and unConstitutional as it gets.
Now, why would I even respond to something like this comment? Because I want to make sure that you see just how weird the world has gotten right now and how far off the rails some people have gone. And if you are not careful you might get caught up in these kinds of “Twilight Zone” distractions as well.
Don’t do distractions…stay on course, keep to what you know to be right and true. Keep preparing and keep this kind of crap out of your head and out of your life. It is dangerous and distracting…keep to the truth and reality.
Now a personal note to Bruce…
Bruce,
I get the impression you were 100% sincere in your comment replying to my ‘critical’ post. First off, thank you for taking the time to reply…I do appreciate it. And while we disagree on the China thing, I do respect your opinions and enjoy the banter.
As for ‘devolution’…I am asking you with all sincerity to reconsider. It is not even remotely true. But if it were, it goes against every founding principle of the USA. It goes against the Constitution. And it would be devastating to America’s future. Honestly, America as we know it would no longer have a future, we would be thrown onto the dust pile of all other failed forms of government the world has known.
I would ask you to think about this…has your ‘devolution’ thinking come from a “group think” environment? Has it come from a group of people that formed this concept and been void of critical thinking skills as a group?
I am asking you to abandon that concept in your everyday life. If you want to file it away as a possibility that is fine with me. But I think you should not actively consider it as a realistic possibility. Concentrate on the here and now, focus on real prepping principles, think about ways to serve others, and most of all…center your life on Jesus Christ and the scriptures.
I don’t think entertaining ideas such as ‘devolution’ is a healthy thing either mentally or spiritually. You will be in my prayers.
Sincerely,
AH Trimble
Note #1: “Chinese president Xi Jinping’s “Chinese Dream” is a vision for China to become a world-class innovator by 2049. The political will and ability to confront future food security challenges are demonstrated by the country’s position as the largest public agricultural research and development (R&D) system in the world, with 33 percent of Chinese citizens working in the agriculture sector, more than the entire U.S. population. Today, China supplies 20 percent of the world’s food on only 13 percent of the country’s arable land.
Food is more than a basic life need. Food is a cause and consequence of conflict, migration, and political instability, and therefore the necessity to increase food security should be a strategic priority among global leaders. A crucial yet missing aspect in U.S.-China policy discussions is the influence food insecurity has on economies, livelihoods, and U.S. national security. China is on a trajectory that rivals the United States in food production because of its booming agricultural R&D investments, pipeline of science and engineering workforce, and interest and influence in Africa. The next 30 years will see the global population approach an anticipated 10 billion people. Agricultural production must increase by 25 to 70 percent to feed this growth. China’s actions are forward-thinking, and the result may be China outpacing the United States as a global agricultural powerhouse.” (CSIS January 2020)
Note #2: “China is the leading supplier for every import category for the United States. Its top import product categories track with those of the U.S. overall:
- Machinery & Electrical: 24% of U.S. imports from China
- Miscellaneous: 19%
- Metals: 10%
- Textiles: 8%
- Plastics/Rubbers: 7%”
