I received a couple interesting comments to yesterday’s article. One felt like it was honest, heartfelt, open, and very civil…and if I am not mistaken, I knew this guy a long time ago. The other reply…well, it sounded far different…and I will leave it at that.
I believe both should be shared for purposes that I feel important. And yes, I replied to both…both deserve an honest response from me.
What I am asking of you; 1) read both with an open mind and subjecting yourself to the influence of the Spirit, allow truth to come to your heart and mind, 2) see how this might affect you in your life to guide and direct you going forward.
- A number of the people that defended Chad and Lori were relatives, friends, and followers who couldn’t believe they were capable of doing what they did. They were lied to and deceived.
Barry,
Unfortunately in this world today there are a great number of influences and influencers that lie and deceive. It is part of this fallen world that we live in…and the imperfect people around us. All the more important the wise counsel that a modern day Prophet has invited us to have the HG with us continually in order to survive these times.
As I approach my 69th birthday I have become somewhat jaded in that I believe people are pretty much capable of anything. I try to extend the benefit of the doubt to folks as needed…but when I receive a witness of truth, then that is the end of doubt. Then I have to try and remember that we are ALL children of God and all subject to falling. Then it becomes even tougher for me.
Just to clarify between you and I, when I made the statement “…there was a long list of creeps that defended these folks right up to the very end…” I don’t think I was referring to those that you made reference to…at least I don’t think so. I was referring to some folks who were aggressively attacking those who opened the possibility that they were guilty. So, in my mind, someone giving them the benefit of the doubt, or even defending them civilly, is far different than being aggressive, belittling, demeaning, and hostile towards those who saw the guilt. And there were also a few who had financial relationships…but that is another story…although there is some overlap.
But let’s not lose track of the intent and focus of the article…not to become a “crazy” and get caught up in craziness, to stay well-grounded, to keep your head about you, to stay as close to the covenant path as possible…and return when wandering off that path. And recognize crazy when you see it…and get away from it.

- Should we be equally afraid of your website too? Lots of opinions out there and its easier to be a critic than provide helpful guides.
Hey Wildad1,
You can be whatever you wish. If you want to be afraid…then be afraid of my website…your choice…as is everything. I do often suggest to my website visitors to question everything and do their own research…and the same advice would be yours as well. I hope you use it as intended.
“critic”…are you referring to me? I am warning and cautioning folks in virtually every article I post…if you want to label that being a “critic” then you may certainly do so. You would however be creating your own definition of critic…but that, again, is your choice.
And once more…if you are referring to me as not providing “helpful guides” then you must not be actually reading and understanding my posts that I have been putting up for more than 10 years.
Sounds like you have something lurking under the surface that you wanted to share but held back. Please, by all means…share whatever you wish…as long as it is civil.
I am glad you took the time to read the article. Well, I assume you read and understood the whole article and what my intent was…which I hopefully set the stage for the HG to relate that to you.
