New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham has declared gun violence a public health emergency and her emergency order includes the suspension of open and concealed carry laws. Yeah, effectively overriding the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution. And you think that is important or serious?
No one…and I mean no one at any level of that state government thinks it will stand…not even Grisham herself. So the ban itself is not important, it is not serious…period. Oh, and nothing to get worked up over either.
So let’s ask the real questions…
Why did she do it? First off she was told to. You ever hear the saying “dumber than a box of rocks” during your lifetime?
Well, go look it up online and you find Grisham’s picture beside the definition. She could never come up with an idea like that on her own…she is simply too freaking unintelligent (i.e. stupid) to tie her own shoes, let alone come up with an idea like this.
What did she expect to accomplish? It wasn’t her and her expectations at play here. Those that told her to do this wanted to move the Overton Window to the left another nudge. See, if the country starts looking at gun ownership as a crisis or a public health emergency, then it gains traction as something other than what it is. Gun ownership, the 2nd Amendment, is there to allow the US citizenry to throw off a tyrannical federal government…period…that is all. Any restriction of any kind on that Constitutional right/liberty is wrong!
Why New Mexico? Let’s look at NM’s rankings…Crime & Corrections – #47, Economy – #44, Education – #50, Health Care – #38, Infrastructure – #44, Opportunity – #41. Facts are facts…NM sucks! A crime infested state with the lowest education
ranking in the country…Grisham is proof positive of that. But what you might not know…the US federal government owns 1/3 of all land in NM, most of it by BLM…a rabidly liberal federal agency. Then look at who lives there…take away the huge number of federal employees and who are you left with? There are some intelligent farmers and ranchers…and a few other decent folks. But mostly what you would be left with are; 1) reservation native Americans, 2) illegal aliens, 3) cartel & gang members, 4) liberal college professors. NM is a rabidly liberal state with a good sprinkling of decent folks thrown in. NM is the perfect Petri dish for this.
Will it stand? Now that is getting closer to the heart of the matter. The odds are 99% that it won’t…but a slim, very slim, chance it might. But the purpose was simply to bring it up in the first place…that moves the conversation where there should be NO conversation at all. Same with Red Flag laws, background checks, felon prohibition, or the NFA…they should not exist! Well, at least if you believe in and support US Constitution and the 2nd Amendment.
So what is the bottom line here? That is the best question…just add “who is behind it.” So let’s review…Hungarian-born
billionaire investor George Soros and his son were the top contributors to Democratic gubernatorial candidate Michelle Lujan Grisham. She is a Soros puppet, Soros is pulling the strings to make Grisham dance. So now it is easy to understand what she did, why she did it, and who made her do it…and why New Mexico.
So no, what she did isn’t important or serious because it will almost assuredly fail. But what is serious and important…who made her do it and the fact that they are changing the conversation.
FYI…how can I speak so plainly and boldly with such confidence about New Mexico? I lived there for 14 years…unfortunately.

Hi AH,
Let me push back just a little.
It is true that Grisham is a despicable person. I’ve called her “our sub-average intelligence marxist governor” pretty much from the day she was first elected.
I have no doubt that your analysis of NM is correct, however, it may be tainted somewhat by the fact that you lived in one of the three far left cities in the state. By and large, the rest of the state is pretty conservative. It is true that the population of those three cities pretty much control state politics.
The county in which I live is very conservative. In the 40 years I have lived here, I have never had a problem with crime. That being said, my town was where the cop was shot in the face, which made national news.
You are right, the school system sucks. I worry about my granddaughters. I am presently trying to teach a 19 yo HS graduate how to read and do basic math. For about the last 20 years, I have advocated home schooling.
I do appreciate your negative comments, though, because they may help keep the population growth down.
Keep up the good work. I love your writing.

Hey Glen,
Great to hear from you, wish we were closer geographically so we could visit more.
Oh yes, my opinion is tainted, very tainted. And yes, I lived in a rabid Progressive regime controlled town. However, I don’t agree with the rest of the state being pretty conservative. There are large reservations in NM as well…and they are socialist by any definition. So you take away the land that is owned by the federal govt, then take away reservation land, then take away state owned land…there isn’t much left over. Same with the population…take away the 3 largest cities, the reservation folks, and liberals…there are very few folks left. Actually total state population, 17.5 per square mile…6th from the bottom out of 51. That doesn’t leave many people left.
And that is where my statement “There are some intelligent farmers and ranchers…and a few other decent folks.” came from.
And sir, you are definitely one of those “decent folks” if there ever was one!
FWIW…”home schooling” is the only type of schooling that makes any sense in today’s world.
AH
PS NM doesn’t need my negative comments to keep population growth down. Latest stats show from 2020 – 2022 the state lost .2% of its population. And thankfully my wife and I are part of that.
PSS NM does have a lot to offer to the right folks and a lot of it is very beautiful. The rampant liberalism just doesn’t sit well with me. Nor does the poverty rate…3rd highest poverty rate in the country.

Hi AH,
I am not offended. You were always smarter than I and your research ability is 10:1 to mine. I think we are on the same wavelength and have much the same goals.
I do sometimes think about leaving but the spirit has convinced me that I have a work here to do. One that I’ve been preparing for for most of the last 20 years. I don’t think it will be much longer.
I still have the 4oz container with the lid of yours that was filled with icing waiting for you to come by and pick up. I do wish we lived closer so I could pick your brain occasionally.
Please say “Hi” to your lovely wife for us.
Take care, be safe,
Glen

Glen my brother,
We are on the same wavelength for sure…and it goes far beyond prepping and any website!
And for the record…no way I am smarter than you…or nearly as spiritual either. You have compassion and a discipleship far beyond anything I am.
Yes, I too believe you have a work to do there…a marvelous work of wonder 😉 I too don’t feel it will be much longer…and you are ready for it.
Brain picking…it wouldn’t take you long 🙂
Did you know I built an off-grid solar system here? I remember you cooking on your electric stove. Wish I had gone that route, we only have a 2-burner hot plate as back-up to our propane stove. You still have those big lead acid batteries?
I will tell her hi, please do the same.

AH,
Yes, I still have the lead acid batteries. I don’t remember if I had 2 or 4 when you were here but I have 4 now. Two 24v in series and 2 more in parallel. This year we put in 5-48v strings of Li batteries as a backup. They are just a backup at this point. They are a different voltage so must keep on a separate system. I have to throw about 4 breakers to switch battery types.
I have followed your solar upgrade with great interest. Your system is much prettier than mine. Mine was just cobbled together a piece at a time over the years to cover my increasing needs.
I became a beekeeper 1.5 years ago mainly to pollinate the garden. I actually harvested some honey this year so all my neighbors are happy with their summer gifts.
Keep up the good fight. We are doing well and are healthy in our old age. K had a 2nd stroke in 2020 so her left side doesn’t work at all but she is still like living with an angel.
Take care, be safe,
Glen
