I had a couple folks suggest I post two sections of my last book. So here goes for the first one…

Here are the Founding Father quotes that I feel apply to our country today.

Big Government / The Fed / Taxes –

We the People

Resistance to Oppression & Tyranny

  • The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions that I wish it to be always kept alive.” – Thomas Jefferson

  • It is the first responsibility of every citizen to question authority.” – Benjamin Franklin

  • The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” – Thomas Jefferson

Fake People & False Patriotism & Political Parties

Type of Americans the Country was Made For

  • Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.” – Benjamin Franklin

  • Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” – John Adams

Ruling by the Elites & Tyranny

Rights/Liberties/Freedoms

A Standing Army

2nd Amendment

Militias

  • Militias, when properly formed, are in fact the people themselves and include all men capable of bearing arms. To preserve liberty it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them.” – Richard Henry Lee

  • What, sir, is the use of a militia? It is to prevent the establishment of a standing army, the bane of liberty. Whenever Governments mean to invade the rights and liberties of the people, they always attempt to destroy the militia, in order to raise an army upon their ruins.” –Elbridge Gerry
