Iran vs Israel – Update

There are a number of issues I want to briefly touch on. Only briefly? Yup! I know you are, or can be, overwhelmed with information, speculation, and sensationalism regarding the Iranian attack on Israel…I don’t want to be part of that.

First – While still being unverifiable, the number of drones and missiles fired at Israel by Iran now appears to be approximately 300. Remember, this number has not been confirmed and will probably never be verified.

Second – Contrary to some wild-eyed click-bait reporting…NO Israeli airbase was destroyed. It was attacked and there was some very minor and superficial damage.

Third – I wanted to talk about this earlier but I didn’t feel it was sufficiently verified, but now I feel it is noteworthy and reliable enough to mention. It appears now that the US knew about the pending attack by Iran on Israel. And the US didn’t tell Iran to not attack. And the only US response to Iran was it was not involved and should not be targeted. The one thing I am still up in the air about is…Did the US notify Israel about the impending attack? There is information that can go both ways on that one. I will keep you updated. Remember, somehow the US didn’t know about the October 7th attack on Israel either…uh huh, right.

Fourth – There are some folks calling this Iranian attack “sophisticated”. Nothing could be further from the truth. Iran launched slow, easily tracked drones that took hours to reach Israel. And they were easy to shoot down. The cruise missiles Iran used were several generations of technology old. Again, easily tracked and shot down. The ballistic missiles were also older technology that presented no serious threat to Israel. Think about it…more Hamas rockets hit Israel during that same time period than anything Iran shot at Israel on Saturday. And the drones and missises were launched in waves vs all at once. Waves of incoming are much easier to deal with and pose little threat to overwhelming air defenses. There was absolutely nothing sophisticated about the attack…it was rather primitive actually. Gee, I wonder why that was?

Lastly – Remember Iran’s attack on Israel on Saturday was in response to what Iran says was an Israeli attack/strike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria earlier this month where Iranian official(s) were killed. While Israel has not claimed responsibility, there is strong evidence indicating that is actually the case. If so, then Israel actually committed an act of war against both Iran and Syria. So, if true, Iran would have been completely justified in responding to that Israeli act of war by attacking Israel as a response. Israel, like the US, has a long history/tradition of committing these kinds of attacks killing government officials on foreign soil so I tend to believe this to be the case.

Please remember…those calling for Israel to strike back militarily against Iran only wish to see the body count rise, more death and destruction. And why do you think they want that? Think about why folks want to see this escalate.

  1. I think there were multiple reasons for Iran to attack. First, to appease the Islamic hardliners.

Second, Iran launched outdated munitions at Israel. Israel used state of the art munitions, Iron Dome and other defenses, to shoot down Iran’s leftover junk; thereby depleting Israeli defenses.

Actually, Iran may have won that round.

  2. The wicked continue to push for a war. A war that will kill millions of people. Civilians will suffer more than the combatants. The military-industrial complex is drooling over the prospect of a bloody conflict. If WWI and WWII are indicators this conflict will cause blood to flow everywhere. The United States will not be immune to the horrors of war.

    • I think you nailed it pretty dang close brother!
Civilians always suffer more than combatants. Just look how many hundreds of thousands we killed between Iraq and Afghanistan.
I don’t think most people actually understand how much money flows into the military-industrial complex…and the motivation it has to see, provoke, or prolong war around the world.
      Wee need to pray…a lot!
