A little inflation & gasoline price history…

I just wanted to share a little inflation and gasoline price information so folks can better judge for themselves reality vs propaganda.

Inflation * –
  • Inflation January 2017 (before Trump took office) – 2.5%
  • Inflation January 2021 (right before Trump left office) – 1.4% (Trump brought down inflation by 44%)
  • Inflation January 2025 (right before Biden left office) – 3.0% (Biden basically doubled inflation)
  • Inflation February 2025 (after Trump was inaugurated) – 2.8% (essentially the same as Biden)
  • Inflation June 2025 (5 months into Trump’s term) – 2.7% (essentially the same as when Trump took office)
  • Inflation has been trending up the last 2 months – 2.4% in May, 2.7% in June.

Gasoline Prices ** –
  • Gasoline price January 2017 (before Trump took office) – $2.35
  • Gasoline price January 2021 (right before Trump left office) – $2.33 (Trump brought down gasoline price by 2cents)
  • Gasoline price January 2025 (right before Biden left office) – $3.20 (Biden increased price by 32%)
  • Gasoline price February 2025 (after Trump was inaugurated) – $3.08
  • Gasoline price June 2025 (5 months into Trump’s term) – $3.15 (Trump increased price by 7cents)
  • Gasoline price has been trending flat for the last 2 months.

* US Federal Government figures.

** US Federal Government figures.

Why did I used US Federal Government figures vs my original figures? I felt using government figures would be…well, laid at the feet of the government if they were wrong or misrepresented.

So the following statements are true based on facts and figures from the US government:

  1. Inflation under the current Trump term is essentially the same as when Biden left office, just a little lower.
  2. Inflation under the current Trump term is trending up the last 2 months.
  3. Gasoline prices in the first Trump term ended where they were when Obama left office.
  4. Gasoline prices under the first 5 months of Trump’s 2nd term are up 7cents per gallon vs when Biden left office.

I hope that help folks, including Texas Dan, see reality for what it is.

I am not hammering Trump as an anti-Trumper or never-Trumper…I am simply sharing facts to help folks see reality vs political propaganda.

FYI…I normally use different numbers/facts/figures than those put out by the US Federal Government. Why? I kinda don’t think the US government numbers for public consumption are entirely accurate. But, I wanted to use them here so if they are wrong it’s the government’s fault not mine.

More From Texas Dan…

From Texas Dan:

Cherry picking the months before the inaugural versus the 45 months before for your data comp is dishonest. But enjoy your half empty worldview. And I suppose you understand the arc of inflation referenced was almost totally related to your boy Biden’s acts in year 1 of his administration.

My response…

First off, again, thank you so much for sending me an email with your feedback. I wish you had posted in as a “reply” to the post. I would have appreciated if others could have read and gathered information from it. So, I hope you don’t mind me posting your reply here along with my response. Hopefully, folks can hear more from each side to make informed decisions.

Sorry, the information in your reply is a bit off:

1. I used a date the day before Trump was elected for the baseline for local gas prices vs Trump now. So the Nov 19th was all Biden without the knowledge that Trump had been elected. Made it clear what the trend was between then (Biden) and now (Trump).

2. The gasoline national average was the day Trump was inaugurated vs Trump now. Made it clear, since it is a commodity, what the market was anticipating after Trump was elected and inaugurated compared to now, six months after Trump policies.

3. The unemployment data was a year earlier, June 2024 (Biden’s 3rd year), vs Trump now…six months into Trump’s policies. So all Biden vs all Trump.

4. As for inflation it was the last 5 months of Biden policies that had been in-place for 4.5 years and the first 5 months of Trump policies. The trends are clear, valid, and reliable…Biden policies vs Trump policies. Okay, the first month or so of Trump would/could have influence by Biden’s policies. But, that actually showed a down trend and I can reliably attribute any Biden influence so I didn’t indicate any.

5. And finally, there was no “cherry picking”. I used dates and time frames that I thought accurately represented data for each person and their policies. I am sure other people could pick and choose whatever dates they wanted. I tried to be objective and without bias…IMHO.

And for the record:

I voted for Trump 3 times. I am one of those supporters who got him into the White House twice and tried to the other time when he ran against Biden; had it not been for election interference/influence he would have made it. And I have stated that multiple times for years and years that I voted for Trump. AND, that I both recognized and I appreciate the good things he has done and is doing.

Your rather blatant attempt to insult, belittle, and discredit me with your “… your boy Biden’s…” comment is an emotional reaction…not based in fact, logic, reality, or evidence. I am sorry you stooped to that vs making a case with facts, figures, and evidence. And therein lies the exact problem I’ve been talking about for a long time…bias. However, I do recognize that Trump is a hot topic for many folks and I do recognize the emotional side of it. So, no personal offense taken; I hope none was intended.

I’ve used other terms such as “worshipers”, “boot-lickers”, etc. But I don’t think those apply to you at all and it would be totally inappropriate on my part to use those terms in your case. I am not sure why you don’t look at facts, figures, evidence, etc. and allow reality to guide you and your comments. But, that is your choice and I respect that. It is part of that hot topic, a divided America thing taking place…and getting worse.

The sad part is, we probably have far, far more in common than your emotions will allow you to accept. And we probably have the same goal(s) for our country…a strong Constitutional Republic guided by the rule of law, incorporating the ideals put forth in the Declaration of Independence. Unfortunately, we don’t have any politicians that can get that done…or restored. And that has been the case for at least 50 years or more now….probably more like 130 years. And TPTB want to divide the people to make us easier to control. Goes to the saying, “United we stand, divided we fall.” All the conflict, confusion, corruption, and chaos does an excellent job of dividing us.

I wish you all the best and hope you find what you are looking for not just in your personal life but in your political ideals as well.

Best,

AH

Texas Dan : The economy is the one thing he is getting right.

AH Trimble Feedback and Comments

From: Texas Dan

RE: < You know what I didn’t vote for? >

General points taken , but fuel prices are way down as is inflation. The economy is the one thing he is getting right.

Well Texas Dan,

Thanks for taking the time to reply, I appreciate it. I think discussion, give & take, comparing notes and experiences are a really good thing for Americans to do. Talking may well avoid something worse down the line for this country.

To your point of fuel prices…Before Trump was elected gasoline was $3.24 per gallon locally. Now it is $3.21. That is a decrease of less than 1% since Trump was elected. I wouldn’t call that “way down”, but that is just me.
National average of gasoline was $3.11 on 1/20, Trump’s inauguration day. National average of gasoline today 7/20 is $3.11. So no “down” at all since Trump took office.

As for inflation…the last 5 months of Biden regime inflation was running at 2.82% average. The first 5 months of Trumps reign it is 2.52%. That’s 3tenths of a point difference. Hardly what I would call “way down”. And unfortunately for America the inflation rate under Trump is trending up for the last 2 months (no figures out for July yet). Yeah, up 4tenths of a point in the last two months. So a larger tick up under Trump vs a down tick of 3tenths from Biden to Trump.

Unemployment rate in June 2025 was 4%, unchanged from June 2024. So Trump hasn’t improved the employment situation at all vs Biden as per June numbers.

Also, I will be posting an article in a day or two that shares economic information that is very damning to Trump. In June the average family paid $314 more to cover tariffs under Trump…$314 out of the pockets of the average American family. Not good economic news in my opinion. And horrible news when you look at it on an annual basis…over $3,700 in a year out of the wallets of each American family!!

Now, let’s touch on inflation vs wage increases. The numbers show that inflation increased faster than wage increases. That means, in terms of real wage increase…the average American worker lost ground under Trump last month.

Not looking good when you look at these actual facts and figures. Sorry about that. But maybe Trump can turn around the terrible economic numbers that are showing up so far under his presidency.

This is where I try to look at valid and reliable facts and evidence vs colored by my own bias. And yes, I have bias 😉 When a person listens to bias media, or the outrageous government propaganda that is spewed…well, someone can’t get the real truth, or the whole truth, at all from either.

Trump & Epstein Scandal : Really Pointed Info

From my friend Russ…

Kinda long, but worth it !

Q&A: Trump Epstein Scandal #1

RE: There is no “client list” !

  • Why did Patel & Bongino go along with the cover-up?

Remember the “cover-up” is less than a month old. The joint FBI/DOJ undated memo only came out in early July…released at the end of a long 4th of July holiday weekend. So this is still a relatively new event.

And, I think it was back in May that Bongino and Patel were interviewed…and both denied the Epstein Conspiracy. Ah, did you watch that interview and see Bongino’s body language and facial expressions. There was obviously a problem…I think Bongino was not in any way comfortable with what was being said.

Bongino is former NYPD, strike one. And He is also former federal law enforcement (Secret Service) strike two. So by default he is prone to “go along to get along”. Then add in he currently has a vaunted position in the FBI via Trump himself. All that tends to indicate that Bongino is just another “team player” advocating the party line.

Then you have to remember that both Patel and Bongino openly forwarded the case for, and belief in, an Epstein Scandal. And they did so for a considerable amount of time before Trump brought them on to the team. And Bongino has been in the past particularly convincing that he is populist and an opponent of the DeepState…a straight shooter.

Now, Patel…ouch. Here is what I wrote back in December 2024

For me, the spirit whispered to me a clear message…this man is a man with morals, with character, with principles, a man who loves this country and the Constitution…and wants both the rule of law (the Constitution) and the Republic restored.”

So, I was either wrong back then or Patel has gone off the rails in historic terms since Trump put him in the FBI. In all reality Patel is a lawyer, strike one. And he has been an employee of one level of government or another (including the DOJ) his whole career, strike two. So did Patel become just another G-man? I don’t know…it sure looks like it.

Okay, now for my more direct answer to your question…I don’t know why Patel and Bongino have gone along with the Epstein Scandal cover-up. I just don’t get it. However, it is still a young cover-up so one or both may break ranks and reveal the extent of the cover-up, especially the “who & why” aspects. But don’t count on it. I am sure both had to sign a secrecy pledge when they went to work for the FBI. I would think, that unless they want to risk prison time, they won’t actually go against the party line.

Personally, I think Bongino hates what he knows and is uncomfortable keeping it to himself. If he shares that knowledge or not remains to be seen. I get the idea he is a tortured soul at this point.

Then again the government, and especially the FBI, have a way of destroying people’s morals and souls.

  • In your post about FBI covering up what did you mean by that?

It is well known and established fact that the FBI covers-up their own activities to protect themselves as an agency, protect their leadership, etc. The most recent evidence of such criminal activity came to light at the beginning of July when it was revealed the FBI blocked a probe into alleged Chinese 2020 election meddling to protect then FBI Director Wray from any backlash. Meaning Wray repeatedly stated the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was not influencing the presidential election in favor of Biden. In reality the CCP was doing just that and the FBI (including Wray) knew about it, documented it, and covered it up so Wray wouldn’t be exposed as lying to Congress, lying to the media, and lying to Americans.

If the truth had come out Wray would be guilty of lying under testimony to Congress and subject to federal prosecution and would be looking at prison time.

Remember what I’ve written earlier about two Americas for the judicial system and the DeepState…the FBI is smack dab in the middle of it.

  • Why aren’t you reporting that the Epstein Operation was actually an Israeli intelligence operation?

Nice catch! Let me share this with you first…

Yup, that is the Dan Bongino who is now the Deputy Director of the FBI. But the post is before his appointment.

Okay, back to your question. I haven’t posted, directly at least, that there is connection between the Epstein “honey pot” intelligence services operation and Israel’s Mossad other than to point out that the father of Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s girlfriend and “business associate”, was an Israeli Mossad agent. And I didn’t point out that my research shows that her father ran an almost identical operation as Epstein’s.

Why? Here’s where it gets tough for me…I want multiple valid and reliable sources of information before I put anything out there for folks to read. And in this case I never hit the point where I was fully satisfied to that point. If we were having a personal face-to-face conversation I would have shared that info…but with caveats.

In my personal opinion…with all due caveats…Israel’s Mossad and the CIA ran this as a joint operation on the international level, with the initial start-up being handled by Ghislaine Maxwell’s father. Important to note that her father was murdered within months after Ghislaine was introduced to Epstein…Maxwell, naked, was thrown off his really big, expensive yacht. His body was taken to and buried in Jerusalem.

FWIW…Ian Robert Maxwell’s birth name is Ján Ludvík Hyman Binyamin Hoch. Born in Czechoslovakia.  He became a UK citizen in 1946. He didn’t change his name until 1948. During WWII he became a British officer and in 1945 was attached to the British Foreign Office (similar to the US Department of State). It was this appointment that has fueled speculation Maxwell began working for MI6 (UK’s CIA) and was recruited by Israeli agents. He married a French woman who was from French Kings linage. The stuff of spy novels!!!

Ghislaine Maxwell and her father Robert Maxwell.

Robert Maxwell with Prince Charles…now King of England

And yes, since you are going down that rabbit hole…there is speculation and rumor that Ghislaine Maxwell herself was a Mossad agent recruited by her father and she was Epstein’s “handler” for the Mossad side of the operation. BUT…that is only speculation and nothing I could substantiate in any reliable way.

I hope this satisfies your question.

You know what I didn’t vote for?

You know what…

  • I didn’t vote for continued high fuel prices.
  • I didn’t vote for funding, let alone expanding, the war between Russia and Ukraine.
  • I didn’t vote for continued inflation.
  • I didn’t vote for supporting Israel in their war in Gaza.
  • I didn’t vote for supporting Israel bombing Syria.
  • I didn’t vote for assisting Israel in starting a war with Iran.
  • I didn’t vote for tariffs that are disrupting the world and US economies.
  • I didn’t vote for continued inflation.
  • I didn’t vote for US military troops on the streets of major US cities.
  • I didn’t vote to bomb a country that is no threat to the US.
  • I didn’t vote for threatening Russia.
  • I didn’t vote for threatening China and building up a military presence to challenge them in their backyard.
  • I didn’t vote for a cover-up of the Epstein Scandal.
  • I didn’t vote for a huge budget deficit.
  • I didn’t vote to add trillions of $’s to the national debt.
  • And I sure as hell didn’t vote for the President of the United States to blatantly go back on his word of what he would do once in office.

I guess next time I better pay attention to what I am voting for vs who I am voting for.

Mathew 13: 16 – But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

FEEDBACK: FBI is honorable !

AH Trimble Feedback and Comments

From: anonymous

RE:  < There is no “client list” ! >

What in the world makes you think that the FBI would be anything but legal and honorable and attempt to cover up Epstein?

How about the latest…just this month…

Or, you can go back and see the history of the FBI refusing to comply with court orders, Congressional orders, etc…

And this is just two of the problems with the secret police…unaccountable and above the law.

And now you know why the FBI is not authorized in the Constitution.

And…did you ever think about doing real research before running your pie hole?

  • Steve Bannon is a convicted felon and former Trump friend

And best of all…after a personal phone call from Trump, Charlie Kirk made the following public statement, “People are talking about Epstein because they LOVE Trump”
