SOLAR: New Battery Bank – Part #2

I already explained in painful excruciating detail about the ‘needs’, ‘issues’, and ‘resolutions’ of the new battery bank in Part #1. I also explained why the change/upgrade, but for those of you who missed it…

  • I thought there was a battery with a problem. Turns out there wasn’t.
  • I had already committed to selling my largest LifePo4 battery (230ah) to a good friend.
  • I realized that with some trading and selling the remaining 2 existing batteries, the new battery bank would be a net zero 20% increase in power storage at no additional cash outlay.
  • I realized that the upgrade would also bring me some added benefits and efficiency in my system overall since the batteries communicate with each other and with the system’s computer “brain.”

What battery did I choose? Let’s hit the “process” first.

I have had lithium (LifePo4) batteries for 3+ years now; 2 Elites and 1 Trophy. The Elite battery manufacturer went out of business so their warranty is useless and no support for them whatsoever. The Trophy battery is awesome but can’t communicate with the Elites or my system’s computer. And since the batteries aren’t matched exactly they do discharge and charge at different rates. When the chance to get a matched set of batteries came along that can all communicate with each other and with the system I couldn’t turn that opportunity down. Especially when it would be a net zero outcome, money wise.

When I started looking for batteries to purchase I came up with a number of features that were important to me:

  1. Name brand – wanted to be able to trust the brand of a manufacturer that had proven themselves to make quality products.
  2. Local support – wanted to be able to call on someone locally to help with the batteries if needed.
  3. Good warranty – no matter how good a battery is, no matter how good the manufacturer is, there is always a possibility that something might go wrong with a battery. And I wanted that to be covered by a warranty that means something.
  4. Well built – wanted a battery that had quality components, high quality cells, high quality BMS, and protected external terminals.
  5. Communication – wanted the batteries to be able to talk with each other to coordinate their operations. I also wanted the battery bank ‘master’ battery to be able to talk to my system’s computer ‘brain’ to help with system efficiencies and reporting.
  6. Price – wanted a battery on the lower end of the retail price scale. However, this wasn’t a truly high priority…more of a ‘want’ vs ‘need’.
  7. Design – wanted a small profile server rack battery vs wall mount unit since I had limited vertical space available.

Initially I considered the following batteries:

  • EG4 LL-S Lithium $1,250
  • EG4-LifePower4 $1,142
  • Pytes V5 LiFePO4 $1,592
  • SOK 48V 100Ah PRO $1,202
  • ECO-WORTHY 48V 100Ah LiFePO4 $899
  • VATRER POWER 48V 100AH LiFePO4 $899
  • ExpertPower 48V 100Ah 5KWh Lithium LiFePO4 $949
  • Trophy 48V100E-1 $1,745

I eliminated the ExpertPower and Vatrer pretty quickly after some research due to their short time in business and unknown quality of build. On top of that, the support and warranty aspects were questionable. I have used Eco-Worthy products before and I like them even though they are not at the top of the quality chart. But I eliminated them as well due to support and warranty issues even though the build quality looks pretty good.

I cut the Pytes out due to their price…just way out of my budget. I really like the SOK battery! Great build quality, field serviceable, good warranty, solid communication protocol, and a decent price. On top of all that…SOK has been around for awhile and has a sterling reputation, but no local support for them was their only drawback. I figured I might live with that single negative.

Both EG4 batteries are decent batteries from a well-known company. Decent build quality, good performance, supposedly EMP hardened, comm capable with my system, decent warranty, but no local support. They were still in the running in #2 and #3 slots. I love Trophy batteries!! If I needed internal heaters in the batteries I would choose Trophy hands down. They are great batteries and their customer support is unmatched. However, I don’t need heaters and the price tag put it at the top of the expensive list…out of range for my project budget.

If I had to choose I would go with the SOK, but…

A buddy of mine owns a solar installation company about 10 miles from where I live. He is a good friend of mine and I’ve bought equipment through him before. Not only that, I previously managed to do a little trading with him when I did my major upgrade almost 2 years ago. Obviously I had to talk with him and see what he thought about my battery upgrade.

He listened to all my reasoning and I asked him for his opinion. He asked me if I had seen the MidNite Solar server rack battery. I had not. He showed me a unit he had in his shop’s showroom…it looked very sharp, clean, and well-built. He told me he had installed about 100 of them so far with no issues, no problems, no warranty claims, nothing but good results. He also personally knew one of the partners/owners of MidNite, even stayed at his house before.

I have used MidNite Solar products for years and installed lots of their equipment but had no idea that they carried a line of batteries. I had 100% confidence in the company and their product quality. I asked him my price per battery and was pleased with what I heard. I had something he wanted and so we agreed to a trade for 2 of the 8 batteries. But…I had to do my research before committing to a purchase.

ALL of my research showed that these batteries are absolutely Tier 1 products. However, they don’t have an LCD screen on them but that’s okay. Why? Coz…I am over being too much of a tech-head. I don’t need to be monitoring individual cell voltage, 4 different temperatures of the box interior, etc. The best proof that you built a good system is when you don’t want to, and don’t have to, monitor it. Sure, I will monitor it for the first 30 days or so just to ensure that all is working correctly, but after that…forget about it!

Choice: MidNite Solar MNPowerflo5 $1,099 (retail)

First bonus was the communication capability with my Victron system built in. Second bonus is the rack that comes with the batteries at no additional cost. Third bonus…dark start. When a battery becomes discharged to minimum safe level it is designed to shutdown. Almost all batteries then have to then be charged with an accessory charger or “jump started” to wake them back up; not these batteries. As soon as there is sufficient PV or genset power the battery will wake up on its own and begin to charge…nice! And to be honest…I love the white color vs the traditional black box battery scheme.

Decision made! MidNite Solar MNPowerflo5 was my choice. Order placed…waiting somewhat patiently. (Should be here sometime between March 19 – 21 with any luck.)

Yeah, then came the configuration process…how to group the batteries together for the best, safest, and most efficient configuration. Many folks use a stackable server rack system with a built-in busbar. However, that is not how these batteries stack in this case. So a vertical busbar on each side ( + & – ) is not on the plan. What I worked out though is, in my opinion, a better option. Why? Splitting the batteries into 2 sets and protecting each with a Class T fuse. I cover that in Part #1 < click here to read that >

The entire footprint is only 2’ deep by 3’ wide and approximately 26” tall. That fits well inside the current footprint minimizing the impact on the utility room. The wiring will be very clean and well-organized and mostly hidden.

Let me explain how I replaced the dual vertical busbars mentioned earlier. First off, understand that connecting each battery individually to a busbar is the most efficient way to configure a battery bank. That enables each battery to individually transfer current to and from the system equally among all batteries. While I can’t quite do that, I will be able to configure the system that is probably 99% as good in the transfer of current, but 100% better in protecting each set (½ of the batteries) in the bank from each other. To accomplish that I bought a Victron Lynx PowerIn Class T unit.

First off, there is an internal 1000amp busbar…plenty of busbar to handle the system’s current. And there are two connections to that busbar…each protected by its own Class T fuse. Why is that important? Should a catastrophic current overload (massive amperage) occur sending current into the battery bank, both sets of batteries are protected with a 225a Class T fuse. Should the current overload originate from a battery, the set’s Class T fuse will isolate the set of batteries from the system and the other battery set.

And here is a nice little bonus…the Victron Lynx PowerIn Class T unit, being part of the Victron family of Lynx components, connects seamlessly with the PowerIn unit I am using for ‘distribution’. That makes the system much cleaner, much more professional, and much safer than anything I could engineer. And that my friend is one of the many reasons I love Victron equipment…modular (use only what you need) and everything built to work together…and the best product quality on the market.

Now, there is a hidden bonus to moving to MidNite Solar batteries…removing the Lynx Shunt from the system. Since the battery bank (via the ‘Master’ battery) connects directly to the system’s computer “brain” (Victron Color Control GX unit), it transfers all the required/needed system information, eliminating the need for the shunt unit. And that allows me to sell that shunt unit to help offset costs of the upgrade.

Here is a graphic of what the PowerIn ‘distribution’ unit does…So all-in-all we are getting great batteries from a high-quality company that will work very well with our existing system. Now, let me explain this to you…it takes time to figure this stuff out. And I have 13+ years of building solar systems…and 7 years of building whole-house off-grid solar systems. I spent probably 40 – 60 hours over a couple months to come to the point we are now. But…it was time and effort well spent!

When put together it will look something like this…

I think at this point I will do a series on the “build” and include video. Watch for it !

Canada : The pimple on our butt !

Yeah, I’m about to voice my opinion on the little twerp of a country called Canada and why I think they are a little 2-year old petulant child.

Before I do that let me share one thing that may make a difference…I am second generation US citizen on my dad’s side of the family. Yeah, my paternal grandparents came from Canada…thank God they left Canada and came to the US and started a great life here for their family…in a decent and real country.

There is some debate about how dependent the US is on Canada economically. Ah, no. Let’s look at some facts…

Facts:

  • Population: 41million – Canada vs 330million – USA
  • National GDP: $2.5trillion – Canada vs $30trillion – USA
  • Per capita income: $55,000 – Canada vs $90,000 – USA
  • World ranking of per capita income: 18th – Canada vs 7th – USA
  • Aid provided to foreign countries: $6billion – Canada vs $55billion – USA
  • Standard of living: 29th – Canada vs 12th – USA

So reality speaks volumes…The USA dwarfs Canada in every conceivable economical way! If you want to be brutally honest…when comparing Canada to the USA…well, Canada starts looking like some third-world country.

And PLEASE President Trump don’t make Canada the 51st state!!! It would drag down the United States to a ghetto level country. And that is before we start talking taxes. Canadian taxes are anywhere from 30 – 100% higher than taxes in the US (Corporate, Individual, VAT, Capital Gains). They can keep their tax nightmare to themselves!

Now let’s talk trade…Canada sends $66billion more of their goods to the US than we send to them. Yeah, let’s talk a very real number for a minute…Canada sends a total of about $450billion of their goods to the US each year. That means the US provides almost 20% of Canada’s GDP!!! In real terms that means if the US stops accepting goods from the US…well, Canada collapses. Yeah, their GDP drops to that of Spain and Mexico…third-world status.

But not to be out-done…let’s talk politics:

  • Canada is a democratic-socialist country.
  • They heartily endorse abortion (infanticide).Oh wait…that sounds a lot like eugenics.
  • They also are in love with euthanasia. Yeah boy, Canada makes it legal for anyone expected to die from a medical condition can have the government approval to kill those folks instead. And that includes anyone with physical disabilities. And in 2027 it will cover anyone with mental illness. Even the United Nations raises the warning sign about their love of killing their own people. Wait a second…doesn’t that sound like eugenics?
  • Canada embraces socialism in their health care system.
  • Canada does not support freedom of speech, they have stringent censorship laws. In Canada you can go to prison if you say anything resembling “insensitivity or bigotry” as defined by their federal government.
  • Canada is rapidly and radically anti-gun! To possess a gun in Canada their federal government must approve your “possession and acquisition licence”…and it gets worse. Their government hates for their people to possess guns…and all of this applies to BB guns as well!

Wait a minute…get this…

  • Up until 1982 Canada was still ruled by England!
  • But still today, who is the head-of-state in Canada? King Charles of England!!!

So folks…get over Canada!! Canada is little more than a pimple on the butt of the United States. Canada is rather insignificant in the big scheme of things. The US can easily exist and thrive without Canada…Canada collapses without the US. And that is before the fact the US military is the big-brother that keeps Canada safe. Without the US, Canada could be overrun and defeated by countries such as Brazil, Cambodia, Eritea, or Morocco.

And finally, let’s talk about leadership…

  • Former Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Pierre James Trudeau, nothing more than an empty-headed, empty-suit, pretty boy from an old-money political oligarch family. Arguably one of the least intelligent leaders the world has known in the last 200 years.
  • Incoming Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney…some facts about him…
    • Career banker, former head of Canada’s central bank (their Federal Reserve Bank)
    • Climate and Enviro Nazi
    • Globalist in every sense of the word
    • True believer in Davos
    • Big time carbon tax advocate
    • His person mantra “Arise and do the work of humankind.
    • Former employee of Goldman Sachs
    • Big supporter of Greta Thunberg
    • Calls himself “The champion the green transition among a coalition of banks, asset managers and insurers around the world.”

To recap Canadian leadership…Trudeau was an empty-suit moron that was ruining their country for the last 10 years. Carney is everything that is wrong in the world…the ultimate example of a rich global elitist…who will soon be running their country.

Canada’s importance in the world…yeah, not so much. Think about this…the US is #1 trading partner of Canada…63% of ALL Canada’s trade in the world is with the US. Look at it this way…The US trades more with Canada than the other 20 Canadian trading partners COMBINED!!! Canada as a world economic power…well, it just isn’t.

And if you are thinking about getting twisted up about Canadian lumber controlling the house building in the US…don’t! Canadian lumber products represents only about 12-17% of total consumption of the US house building industry. And that can easily be made up by US forests and lumber industry…easily!

To be fair and compassionate…there is some good to be found in Canada…

  • Pierre Marcel Poilievre is a Canadian politician who has been the leader of the official opposition and of the leader of the Conservative Party. This guy is a plain speaking, down-to-earth, intelligent, commonsense guy that is brave enough to tell it as it is.
  • About 40% of Canada is called “conservative”…meaning more intelligent generally speaking. But, I am not entirely sure how Canadian and US definitions of “conservative” match up. But it does give some margin of hope…slim as it might be.
  • Canadian bacon rocks! Although it isn’t really bacon…it is ham. Must be a language thing.

Basically, Canada is a huge, fat “nothing burger” in the bigger scheme of things…and certainly when it comes to importance to the United States. Okay, granted…Canada ain’t even much when it comes to relevance in the entire world if truth be told.

And let me close with this…Canada’s history-based relationship with the US…well, remember Canada sided with England in our war for independence from English tyranny and oppression. And when the war was over…and the US won…the enemy English loyalists (Tories) ran to Canada for sanctuary. Canada remained part of that British Empire until 1982…and Canada is still under the English Monarchy today.

So, when it comes to Canada…

Forget about ‘em!

* But many of them are nice clowns 🙂

P.S. For anyone wanting to talk Canadian hockey…

  • Canada only has a single MLB baseball (real sport) team. It’s been more than 3 decades since Canada won the baseball World Series. And then, only twice in more than 3 decades.
  • Canada has only a single NBA basketball (real sport) team…Toronto Raptors. In 3 decades they won 1 Championship.
  • Canada doesn’t even has a NFL football (real sport) team.
  • As for hockey, is hockey even a real sport?  Nah! Just a fistfight on a frozen pond!

SOLAR: New Battery Bank – Part #1

Thought I would reach out to the solar tech-heads today. I wrote previously that I thought I had a problem with one of my 3 LifePo4 batteries (1x230ah + 2x205ah). Turns out that it wasn’t actually a problem, I was still getting my full amp hours from the “bank” of batteries; one would just unload faster than the others. However, I already had put into motion replacing all my batteries…which would increase the overall power storage by 20%.

Current power storage capability 32.8kWh…about 40 hours of power with no additional sunlight.

After the upgrade the power storage capability 41kWh…about 49 hours of power with no additional sunlight.

I thought I would share the whole thought process on how I was going to configure the new battery bank. Why is that important? There is a balance between cost and benefit when it comes to installing solar components. But the overriding factor is safety…1) don’t injure anyone handling the components and 2) don’t burn down the house from a fire that starts from the solar equipment/install.

There are two additional factors involved here –
  1. There are some efficiencies to be gained by having each battery “brain” (mini-computer) hooked to each others; and the “master brain” (mini-computer) of my overall solar system. Having the batteries talk to each other coordinating their charging/discharging, etc. does help. And the system’s “master brain” can better coordinate the interaction of all system components.
  2. Below is a picture of the current battery side of the system. As you can see it looks a bit conflicted and confused. Although it works fine the aesthetics leave something to be desired. If the time comes to sell our place, heaven forbid, having a neat professional installation will, if not add value, will surely not detract from it. And yes, I will do a before and after picture to show what I mean.

To get the most out of this post you need to have a basic understanding of electricity and solar. But if you don’t, that is okay, you can always ask me questions.

First off is the electricity I currently use:

  • Average AC load: 8.5aAC – 20aAC (1kw – 2.4kw), Daily Average 20kWh
  • Normal Max AC load: 37aAC – 85aDC (2kw – 434kw)
  • Maximum AC Amperage: 84aAC (42aAC per each AC leg – each inverter)
  • Maximum DC Amperage: 194aDC (97aDC each leg – each inverter) – (2.3 DC amps for each 1 amp AC)
Proposed Battery Bank Design –
Each Battery Bank –
  • Battery bank consists of 2 battery sets
  • Each battery set consists of 2 batteries each
    • Batteries parallel daisy chained with 6” x #2awg (200a capacity rated at that length)
    • Set connected to Lynx with 24” x #2awg (200a capacity rated at that length)
    • Each set capable of 100a (based on internal BMS & circuit breaker)
  • Each battery bank is connected to system via The Lynx Class T unit (1000a busbar)
  • Each of two battery banks’ capable of 200a (split between 2 battery sets)
  • Each of two battery banks’ over current protection device is 225a Class T fuse housed in the Lynx Class T unit
Issues / Resolutions –
  1. Issue – Protecting 2awg wire between batteries.

Resolution – Battery internal BMS (100a) & internal circuit breaker (125a) protects the 2awg wire between batteries. 2awg rating for 6” length is 200a capacity.

  1. Issue – Protecting 2awg wire connecting battery set to Victron Lynx Class T unit.

Resolution – Battery BMS (100a) & circuit breaker (125a) protects 2awg wire between battery set and Lynx. 2awg rating for 24” length is 200a capacity.

  1. Issue – Protecting each bank from the other bank due to dead short.

Resolution – Lynx Class T unit has 225a Class T fuse on each bank.

  1. Protecting system due to dead short in batteries.

Resolution – Lynx Class T unit has 225a Class T fuse on each bank.

New Battery Bank DC Loads –
  • System
    • High Average: 20a
    • Normal Max: 85a
    • Maximum: 194a
  • Each of two battery banks
    • Average: 10a
    • Normal Max: 42.5a
    • Maximum: 97a
  • Each set of two batteries each
    • Average: 5a
    • Normal Max: 21a
    • Maximum: 49a
  • Each battery
    • Average: 2.5a
    • Normal Max: 10.5a
    • Maximum: 24.5a

Battery Nominal/Maximum for Charge/Discharge (as per battery spec sheet): 75a nominal 100a maximum

The Victron Lynx Class T unit w/2 battery bank connections

  • Each bank has dedicated 225a (20kAIC) fuse for over-current protection
Worst Case OPerational Scenario –

Problem: 3 out of 4 battery sets go off line. Dumping maximum 194a draw onto one battery set.

Outcome: Maximum draw still withing rating of 2awg wire between each battery, from battery sets to Lynx. And, current spread out over 2 batteries in set is still under 100a of BMS cutout if the draw is split equally between each battery in the set. And still under 125a of each battery’s circuit breaker if the draw is split equally between each battery in the set. If full draw hits a single battery before damage can be done to #2awg wire the BMS will shut down the battery and the battery internal circuit breaker will open stopping the flow of current.

If the current would somehow manage to keep flowing and increasing in amperage, the 225a Class T fuse will blow at the upper end of the #2awg wire carrying capacity before the wire fails.

Summary –

Solar power is complex but not un-doable for the average person. The key is learning and then applying commonsense to any problem once that problem is understood. Here I had no complicated problem…just had to apply the basic of electricity to the problem and the solution would be clear. Although, when “opinion” is added in, then there could be a number of correct answers.

Remember the overriding factors; 1) safety – don’t get anyone hurt, 2) safety – don’t burn the house down. Both are accomplished by the new battery bank configuration. Also, accomplished is economy. I was able to use a whole bunch of existing equipment and supplies such as wire/cable.  And also accomplished were the side benefits of some increase in efficiencies, some increase in stored power, and better overall system quality.

Part #2 will be which battery brand I chose and why.

Personal Note: I thought you might get a kick out of seeing my current battery bank. And yes, I will show an “after” picture as well.

SitRep – (03/10/2025)

Oh boy…so much to write about…most of which you already know and have seen on the news. But there is at least 10 times that much below the surface…and almost all of it ain’t good. If you want to skip the fluff, you can go right to the “summary” if you wish.

I will try to give you enough details to back-up what I am saying but not so much material to bore you to pieces.

Topis to cover in this SitRep:
  • Trump & Musk Plan Working
  • Economy
  • Europe
  • Crime & Violence
  • Illegal Alien Gangs & Push Back
  • Politics
Trump & Musk Plan Working –

Yes, the Trump/Musk is working. The obvious is shrinking the government, and it is working; working for how long might be a good question to ask. They have the Dems’ organization working against them, they have the federal employee unions working against them. They have most judges working against them, including the SCOTUS for the most part. They have the federal bureaucracy working against them. They have many Repubs working against them. And they have internal Administration members working against them…as in Cabinet level officers. And they have the FBI, CIA, NSA, and most of the Pentagon and military-industrial complex working against them.

I could be wrong, wholly or partially, about the military-industrial complex. Since Trump and Vance are both very pro-big military guys, the military-industrial complex may be with them. Especially when they are talking HUGE spending programs like the “Golden Dome”.

How long Trump, Musk, & Vance can battle all of those opponents and still score enough “wins” is up for debate. The forces arrayed against them are greater than the mortal forces with them.

And yes, stating the obvious, they have most of the world leaders and the world’s elite working against them as well.

Economy –

The economy is in horrible shape…a leftover from the Biden/Harris regime. And yes, it was absolutely intentional that those two traitors, along with their conspirators, left it that way.

Trump is NOT making the economy any better. Inflation is up considerably. Of course, inflation right now is not Trump’s fault but he isn’t bringing it down immediately as he promised. But it was a hollow and unrealistic promise to begin with…and he knew that when he made that promise.

Look, the S&P is down 6% since Trump was sworn in…and that ain’t good. Oil futures are down 13%…and that might sound good. However, the price of gasoline at the pump is basically unchanged. Those two price indices combined paint a bad picture. We are paying the same price at the pump but speculators are expecting the demand of oil to be much lower in the very near future. What does that tell you? To me it whispers…economic downturn. I hope and pray my opinion is wrong.

Then there are the tariffs…I think there should be reciprocal tariffs; that is only fair. But there will be economic pain as the country gets use to it. The question is how long the pain will last and how painful it will be. It is nobody’s guess, anybody’s guess, at this point. And the economy will suffer till we adjust.

Unemployment was up 11% in 2024 over 2023. That is significant. The January 2025 unemployment rate is now up as well. Granted Trump is not at fault for either number. But what it does show is this…the economy is hurting big time. And if Trump/Musk government employee firings and layoffs continue unabated…unemployment will get bloody and the corresponding economic numbers will suffer as well.

The economy is all but a wreck. The question is how big of a wreck will it get.

Europe –

Europe, more specifically the European Union is a mess…and getting worse. Not only do they have a war in their midst, Islamic terrorism is rising. And they are really starting to feel the pressures of their illegal and legal immigration policies/problems. And it will get far, far worse in the months and years ahead.

Germany in particular is living on unstable ground. The rise of nationalism and ultra-nationalism is gaining strength. Many sectors of traditional German society are finally rejecting the radical left and protesting the massive immigration problems. Along with a sharp rise in terror attacks by immigrants, it is combining to make an explosive situation just begging for a nationalist strongman to come along. And that didn’t work out well for them the last time…or for the world.

Crime & Violence –

Crime and violence in the US is spiraling out of control…and the vast majority of that increase is coming from the illegal alien invasion. You can say/think what you want…or the radical left and media can say what they want…but the facts and evidence clearly show that the rapid increase in violence and crime in the US is coming from illegal immigrants.

The real problem looming on the horizon is this…the radical law & order freaks. The “snap back” or “pendulum swing” of increased law & order could easily be even worse than the increase in crime and violence. Why? It’s called authoritarianism…this is just what the elites want and have been planning for. Why else do you think they allowed the invasion?

Illegal Alien Gangs & Push Back –

At some point we will see a significant upswing in violence from the criminal gangs in the US…almost exclusively the illegal alien gangs. They will push back like they do in their own/previous countries. Gangs such as MS13, Tren de Aragua, Surenos, Paisas, and 18th Street will lash out at some point fairly soon. They won’t tolerate the unopposed ICE raids. Why? Those raids affect their power and ability to make money.

Along with that…we can’t ignore the retribution that is occurring, and will increase, from the drug cartels. Their enforcers/gangs are organized, well-armed, and ruthless. As ICE and the DEA crackdown on them…you can count on an increase in retaliation.

Politics –

Politics is a HUGE mess right now. You might think Trump has won the day and rules Washington. Ah, no.

The political scene is a mess, a big bloody brawling mess. You have the standard Dems vs Repubs. But you also have Dems vs Dems, Repubs vs Repubs, establishment vs outsiders, and a whole host of folks and groups fighting each other. Kinda like brother vs brother. And it will get worse…much, much worse in the days ahead.

The normal political apple cart has been tipped over, then flipped, then upended, then rolled over…and is in the process of being crushed. Trump is behind much, maybe most, of it but no doubt he is in the middle of it. What appears is happening is only the tip of the iceberg. And in defense of Trump…I honestly think he is doing what he feels is right, I do. But there is a much, much larger game being played…and he is playing into their hands. The hands of the true power players.

And if you think ALL of this is a good thing…well, no offense intended…you are out of your freaking mind!!

The chaos and instability is creating power vacuums which are screaming to be filled with someone…anyone. And trust me…there are folks standing by to fill those power vacuums that are your worst dreams come true.

Summary –

This country is a complete mess right now, chaos rules. The economy is on the brink of collapse, politics is nothing but a mess, the in-fighting is in the red zone…and the rest of the world is being destabilized by all of it.

Are there good things happening? Yup, of course there are. But, all of it combined is creating nothing more than a huge, HUGE, mega chaotic and unstable mess. And when countries get in a mess like this, where chaos reigns and so many power vacuums exist, it rarely turns out well.

Now, more than ever, is the time to keep your eyes open and your ears to the ground. There is so much happening behind the scenes and in dark smoke filled rooms. And I am telling you…none of it is for the good.

If you think Trump has this all under control and that he is running it all his way and he is designing the future…you are wrong, dead wrong. Trump is only a player, a single player, in the game that is taking place right now. The real power players are in the shadows pulling the strings.

I am telling you under no uncertain terms…prepare yourself and your family.

Masterful : Trump !

I’m sure everyone has been waiting on pins and needles to hear my take on Trump’s speech last night. Uh, right.

I watched his speech last night from start to finish and my #1 take-away…Trump is a masterful politician. Yup, he knows how to play to the crowd and to the cameras. He knows all the buttons to push…good and bad. He knows how to gin up a crowd and play to people’s emotions. Trump…a consummate politician.

My favorite moment of the night…

“The United States has sent hundreds of billions of dollars to support Ukraine’s defense.” Then Dems clapped in support of the Ukraine/Russian War and the hundreds of billions sent to fund that war. “You want to keep it going for another five years,” Trump shot back before singling out Senator Warren. Pocahontas says yes.”

If you remember, it was Warren that claimed she was native American when there is zero DNA in Warren to back up that claim.

No doubt Trump has upset the apple cart in his first 40 days in office. Most of which I am thrilled to see. Slashing the federal workforce is fantastic!! Let’s get it down to about 20% of what is was under Biden. Finding waste, fraud, and abuse of taxpayer hard earned money is amazing!!! Let’s cut the federal budget by at least 3 – 4 trillion dollars! Reciprocal tariffs is just common sense and will help American companies and workers like never before! Yes, there may be some issues and pain along the way, but reciprocal tariffs is a great long-game move.

I am 100% in favor of border security…and I mean SECURITY!! Sending the military to the border is exactly what they should be doing and should have been doing all along…protecting America. What I am not in favor of are the border patrol checkpoints located away from the border. These are nothing more than “Papers pleaze! Show us your papers!!”

The “Privileges and Immunities Clause” of the United States Constitution guarantees the right to freedom of movement of US citizens within the United States. And that right has been upheld for 150 – 200 years through various Supreme Court cases. But for some reason the Federal government, in its quest to establish a police state, has ignored those rulings and the Constitution.

Let Border Patrol finally do their job…ON THE BORDER! And they can keep their freaking hands off US citizens inside the US. Better yet…eliminate Border Patrol and return the job to the US military.

The most discouraging part of the speech appeared multiple times during non-political moments when Trump was recognizing people for their sacrifices, loss, achievements, and special circumstances. For the most part the Dems were silent in their behavior…shameful!

I am going to back track for a moment…here is my replacement #1 take-away…

The United States is irrevocably split…the US Empire is fractured to the point of no return. Granted, Trump may give back some much needed glory and prosperity to the old USA, but he can’t save it. Why? Simple…the Republican and Democrat parties…our two party system. President George Washington saw it over 200 years ago and warned us against splintering into a two political party system. We, citizens of the US, ignored that warning and we are speeding down the path of our destruction. And history has proven there is no exit ramp for our destruction. Sadly, there is no desire of either party to even look for that exit ramp…they are both too concerned, too dedicated, too obsessed with their lust for power and money.

More than ever there is a need for all good people to decide who they are, what they believe in, and then follow through with those convictions. Political parties and politicians, are not the answer, they have never been the answer…and never will be. We have been repeatedly warned for nearly 300 years that government is not, and never has been, the answer…government is the problem.

For 200 years the following has been true…

“That government is best which governs the least.”

But there is actually more to that quote that is often left out…

“That government is best which governs the least, because its people discipline themselves.”

Is that possible today? Of course not…the political parties and politicians have seen to that.

By figuring out who you are and what your principles are gives you the ability to discipline yourself…and become self-reliant. And self-reliance…well, it is the goal is it not.

I received this comment to my “Demonic” article.

I received this comment to my “Demonic” article. Fortunately it was not automatically approved and posted. It came to me for approval. Obviously I wasn’t going to approve it with his name and message as is.

Rather, I want to point out this is the kind of demonic evil that is out there. I am not saying the person is, I am saying some of his beliefs and some of his actions are. So as not to give him recognition by using his real name I will simply call him “Aaron Kosminski”.

Here is the comment he made…

“I, [Aaron Kosminski] renounced Christianity instead. to worship Satan. I find that more complete. I reject the Abrahamic self proclaimed and selfish. Satan is my Lord and God. Besides it is a lot more fulfilling and sexually arousing. I could go on about the inconsistent and contradictory scriptures. Instead I will leave it at that. But dear don’t be hard on yourself because that’s what jehova would enjoyment.”

At first I thought it was a “bot” at work, they’ve hit the site before. But I did a little investigating and found the his actual name is real. And here is what I found…

His words…“Just your average American gay male who identifies with Satan and has an insatiable appetite for new found knowledge and self gratification.”

I then found that he “was arrested in [town name withheld] on a charge of DWAI combined drugs/alcohol.”

He self-identifies as a “Gay Satanist”

Then I found this…on “Nov 11, 2024 made known to all that I worship and follow my Lord in private and subtle public statement that I have been a Satanist for the last 13 years. I’m an open minded faggot, who will do anything to satisfy his Master.”

I’ve told you for years that evil exists, that demonic actions and behavior is real…this is living proof of such. Be forewarned, be aware, be careful. People like Aaron Kosminski can be dangerous, especially if the norms of society breakdown. In critical stressful situations who knows what he could be capable of with that kind of darkness in his heart. He is already doing immense damage to himself, others, and society in general; imagine what he could do given the chance in incidents with no boundaries.

Hopefully something will occur in his life that he can have God touch his heart to the point of turning back to Him, the creator of all, our Heavenly Father who is full of love and grace who is willing to accept all who come to Him. If you feel so moved, a prayer on his behalf would be nice.

Update (2/24/2025)

Well, I figured it was time for an update on life here on the glamstead. Might explain the 20-day quiet spell just a bit. And FWIW…there is a ‘summary’ at the end that wraps it all up.

Fruit Trees –

Let’s see, where do I start? Let’s begin with the orchard…4 new fruit trees ship on Monday from Stark Brothers. Over the last 2 weeks I’ve been digging the 4’x3’ holes. But before I could do that I have to rip 12” of the top dirt, then spread a whole bunch of partially composted organic matter, and then disc it in…over a 125’ x 150’ area. And for the tree holes I had to ‘make’ the dirt…or rather potting soil. I had some non-screened compost that I got for free but I had to ½” screen it to get the rich dirt for the holes. And yes, I had to build the screen contraption first. And yes, the holes are done waiting for the trees. Oh, and I am flooding the holes every other day to get lots and lost of moisture in the ground…I’ll never get that good of chance again.

And while I was doing orchard work I dug some more tree drip edge irrigation ditches around the 3-year old trees. Not terribly hard work but lots of digging, fertilizing, and then back-filling with rough pine straw mulch. This will give the more mature fruit trees a huge boost in growth and fruit production this coming season.

Solar System –

Hey, let me talk solar for just a minute…Back on Feb 3rd I wrote about “Trouble in Solar Paradise” and whined about a problem with my batteries, one battery in particular. Well, good news and great news. The good news is the battery that I thought had started to go weak, didn’t; that battery is just fine. I decided to really watch the battery and I noticed something weird and unexpected. Then I reviewed my battery energy usage, charging, and discharging history charts. And compared that to monitoring the State of Charge (SoC) lights for 20 days. Something I had never seen before was coming to light, so I found a number of articles that described what I was seeing. Bottom line…nothing wrong with the battery; for a couple of different reasons it was just somethings charging first and mostest compared to the other batteries. The key was what the whole battery bank was doing…and it was doing just fine.

Here was the problem…that turns out great…I already had committed to sell the biggest battery to a friend and neighbor who has one just like it; he wanted to pair it up and was willing to pay a fair price. So I figured with the money he was going to pay be I would just get another 2 new of the MidNite batteries to replace it. I wanted to figure out the best integration method of the now 4 new MidNite batteries, I came across a number of really good articles regarding the new MidNite batteries and integration with Victron…VERY positive articles. And that got me thinking… Yeah, Ooooppppppsssssss!

Well, let’s cut this a bit short…I am now getting 8 new MidNite batteries. And by selling the 3 batteries I have and the trade I mentioned in the last article, it should be a zero sum purchase. YEA! 8 brand new batteries (25% boost in energy storage) AND the ability of all the batteries to talk with each other for smoother operation AND the ability of the battery bank to talk with my Victron system for more efficiency, safer operation, and way better monitoring. And that got me thinking… Yeah, Ooooppppppsssssss!

Well again, I was looking for the best way to configure the new battery bank and then the best way to connect the power to the rest of the system. And yes, I found some new equipment and better methodology to upgrade my system. Thankfully, once again I was able to do the old zero sum cost to the upgrade. I can sell my soon to be unused components which will cover the cost of the new equipment. Yea!!! Now I just have to wait for the new batteries to show up in about 3 weeks.

Here is the kicker…I probably have 60+ hours in all the research and dealing to get the new solar stuff figured out. Actually, probably more than that. But it takes time…and lot’s of real concentration. But it will be very worth it when it is all upgraded. Think…electric baseboard heating!

Serving –

Now let’s talk about serving others. It was weird a couple of weeks ago while talking with some really close friends of ours. They are well-off, far better than us financially. But, they have their struggles just like everyone else. And on top of that, because they are well-off some people take advantage of them and others openly express jealousy/envy. But I also see some of their generosity with others who are in need. Okay, back to the visit…out of the blue I was prompted to ask them is they like blackberries and raspberries. Husband likes raspberries, wife likes blackberries. Next question was if they had a berry patch. They did not. They hadn’t even had a strawberry patch until I gave them some plant starts last spring; and they love strawberries!

I told them to mark out about a18” x 12’ patch for each type of berry; I was going to start their berry patch for them. They resisted a bit, but I persisted. Honestly, I don’t think they thought I was serious. About a week and a half ago I went over to their house and started digging their patch. It took me 3 trips, maybe 12 hours total to get the trenches dug and dirt made. The patch is in nasty clay soil. Yeah, I had to make a real good potting soil mix coz the soil that came out of the trenches was pure clay crap. Friday I planted the starts; 3 really nice blackberry plants and 5 raspberry plants. Then added the irrigation and then mulched it all in. Another 6 hours.

The husband, my friend, was in disbelief. He wanted to pay me for doing it, I turned him down. He wanted to pay me for all the soil amendments and irrigation stuff, I turned him down. He didn’t quite understand. I explained that I was clearly prompted to do this and because they did so much for others, this was just something small for them…a general thank you from the universe. Serving others is a reward in itself.

Gate –

Remember I mentioned back in the first week in January the new gate for our glamstead? Yeah, problems…wind to be exact. I’ve installed farm gates before, I’m no novice. But that dang automatic gate opener was something entirely new to me…and it showed. For about 6 weeks we had a host of issues with the gate. It boiled down to the effects of our windy days had on the system. When I say windy I am talking sustained at 30 – 35mph and gusts to 50 – 55mph.

Bottom line I had to figure out the different settings such as ‘force’ and how to adjust the closed position by fine tuning the ‘jog’ setting. To make the boring story less painful…about 25 – 30 hours to get it right. So yesterday was hopefully the last day I have to do anything more than periodic maintenance to the system.

But, this is why I point it out…security. The primary purpose to the new gate and approach area was to improve our property’s security profile.

Alarm System –

What? Where did that topic come from? About 2 or 3 weeks ago I started thinking about our old security system. Why? Remember I spoke some time ago about adding driveway alarms to the glamstead as an early warning sign of folks approaching the house? You can’t see our house from the road…which means you can’t see the road from the house…and about 500’ of the 750’ driveway remains blind. Over the last 5 years we’ve had a few folks who we didn’t know drive up to the house without us knowing. That doesn’t happen anymore.

Almost 2 years ago we purchased an outdoor camera system that can be monitored from our computer or our phones. I won’t go into all the details but suffice to say I wasn’t happy with the system overall.

Now add this into the mix…when we bought our land 10 years ago there was no one else living full-time out here and very few weekenders. If I heard any vehicle while building the cabin it would be maybe once a week or so. Then 5 years later it would be every couple of days. Now, there are probably 15 people living out here or who are active weekenders. And more off-roaders (ATV/UTVs & bikes). A neighbor caught someone going down their driveway, then down a 2-track path between their place and ours. My neighbor stopped them just as they were going to pass through our back fence/gate onto our property. Not good!!

Shortening the story…it was time to resurrect the old SimpliSafe system, add some equipment to it, and get it back up and running. So there has been 20 hours or so figuring it all out.

Why the focus on this? A clear prompting that our security needed to be ramped up so it could be professionally monitored and cameras we could monitor ourselves via phone when we are away from the house, or via computer when we are home. One other factor…I wanted a monitored smoke alarm in the attached utility room where the solar system equipment is.

Yes…a very clear yes. I am concerned about our security here on the glamstead. Crime is climbing, violence going up, whether around the country or even here locally. I knew it was time to improve our safety and security.

Summary –

There are three reasons for the ‘summary’…1) to partially justify my lack of postings due to being super, super busy, 2) to point out some issues, primarily upswing in security needs for everyone, 3) to encourage folks to serve. And oddly, maybe not serve those who you would normally think of serving. Just follow the promptings you get on who to serve, when to serve them, and how to serve them. Forget worrying about why to serve them…just do it!

Look, I get it…Trump was elected and he is shaking up Washington like I never expected. He is doing a great job and I hope he stays after it. Just a thought…gas is up 1cent under Trump. Not a big deal but it hasn’t dropped like the last time he was elected. The most recent inflation figures shows inflation rising. No, not Trump’s fault at all…but it is up. Who knows what tariff increases will do. Okay, I am not going to go on about it…but the country is very, very economically unstable right now.

Yes, I know there are whole lot of people who idolize Trump and think he has brought a new era of peace and prosperity to the nation…and all it well. I don’t agree. Yes, Trump is going great work from what I can see. But all is not well.

Trump is shaking up the biggest moochers and freeloaders in the nation…federal workers and government contractors. And they are starting to protest against Trump. The protests are not numerous or large…but that could change in a heartbeat. If a union such as SEIU, Teamsters, Autoworkers, or teacher unions join in…and then add in groups such as AntiFa and BLM, the protest could get large, widespread, violent, and destructive.

Yes, the arrest and deportation of criminal illegal aliens is ramping up and is a beautiful sight to behold. And violent gangs are being especially targeted…yea! But violent crime is not decreasing, nor is property crime.

Why all the trivia? I am prompted to make our place safer and more secure; making it less prone to property crimes or us less prone to violent crimes.

How are you seeing crime and violence in the US? Are you feeling promptings in this area?

We actually stepped up our prepping since Trump was elected…we didn’t fall into some false sense of complacency and euphoria. Trump is not going to prevent the fall of the US Empire. Granted, he may slow it down…but that is prolonging, not preventing. The forces of evil in the world, in this country, are not vanquished or asleep. They are still there, quietly planning, taking steps behind the scenes, identifying weaknesses to exploit, bidding their time.

We are dedicated to preparing and being in the best position we can be in for when the time comes. And I am telling you…the time is coming.

Q & A: The FBI vs President Trump

Q: Is the FBI really against Trump? (name withheld)

A: That was a very broad question, too broad for me to answer in detail here. Now, if you are referring to the whole issue of Trump wanting to see if there were any improprieties or illegalities with the FBI regarding the Jan6th operation and investigation…yes, the FBI is battling Trump (the FBI’s words, not mine). Not only that, it could get worse, far worse.

As of now, as far as I can tell, there are two separate groups of FBI personnel who are suing President Trump to stop the investigation of the FBI. Those suing Trump want to remain unknown and their actions kept secret regarding their activities associated with Jan6th. For reasons as yet unknown, the FBI doesn’t want their actions or names to be made known, and they don’t want to be held accountable.

So my question would naturally be…”Why don’t they want the information to become known?”

Various public responses from the groups have been pretty much the same:

  1. Safety of those involved.
  2. National security.

#1 has some merit, but very little; #2 has no merit whatsoever. The whole “national security” thing has been abused by the federal government for 70 years. When you hear anyone in the federal government use “national security” as an excuse to keep something from the public…you can bet about 98% of the time they are covering up a crime they committed.

So it all boils down to a couple thousand FBI folks don’t want to fill out a survey form regarding their activities relating to the FBI’s Jan6th operation/investigation. So how does that in any way, shape, or form impact national security? Exactly!!!! It doesn’t.

Here is some context…

You know there is a question that law enforcement uses when a person refuses to answer questions…

If you have nothing to hide, why don’t you answer the question?”

And when someone objects to being investigated/interrogated, law enforcement will ask…

If you haven’t done anything wrong, why not cooperate?”

It all boils down to this…in my opinion…

If the FBI personnel have nothing to hide, why don’t they just answer the questions?”

If the FBI personnel haven’t done anything wrong, why not cooperate?”

You can stop reading at this point if you like. But, I thought I would throw some more context, history, and wild outrageous theories out there for you…

If you are still reading…let’s recap a couple of things:

  • 1993 PBS did a documentary, “For nearly 50 years, FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover amassed secret files on America’s most prominent figures, files he used to smear and control presidents and politicians.” FYI, Hoover was the original FBI Director.

  • In 2009 Don Fulsom documented that FBI director J. Edgar Hoover was controlled, via blackmail, by the Mafia. The problem…Hoover’s gambling and homosexuality documented with pictures in the possession of the Mafia.

  • In 1993, Anthony Summers documented with multiple witnesses that in 1958 Hoover was a cross-dresser and had sex with several young blonde “boys”. The witnesses described in detail the different dresses that Hoover wore as well as identifying others who were present including a former counsel to a Senator (widely acknowledged as being gay).

  • In 2022, it was documented that multiple FBI agents themselves knew about Hoover’s deep ties to the Mafia. The agents revealed stories of Hoover traveling multiple times to Manhattan to meet one of the Mafia’s top figures, Frank Costello. The two would meet in Central Park.

  • And hundreds more documents and evidence that Hoover was as dirty a cop as you could possibly imagine.

Why is any of that relevant? The founding director of the FBI was…well, let’s just say compromised. And documented evidence shows that the FBI Director blackmailed politicians, including Presidents, for decades. For me I think a question comes to mind:

If the FBI started to answer questions now, how much more would come to light about what the FBI has really been involved with?

A natural comment would be…Well, that was only FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover, not today’s FBI personnel.

Okay, but what about the last FBI Director, Christopher Wray, not just refusing to answer questions from the FBI Congressional Oversight Committee, but also lying to them under oath? Is there a pattern here?

And shall we not forget the FBI’s well documented campaign and coup against Trump starting back in 2016.

Putting that into perspective…and adding in their long history…it becomes pretty clear what went on and what is going on.

So how could it get “far worse”? Don’t know…probably nothing to see here…move along.

Let’s look at a little history…until 1962 FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover denied the existence of an organization, the Mafia. In 1961 John F. Kennedy was sworn in as President of the United States. In 1961 President Kennedy appointed Robert F. Kennedy as US Attorney General. In 1962 Robert F. Kennedy, US Attorney General, ordered FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover to investigate not just organized crime, but specifically the Mafia.

Oddly, in November 1963 President Kennedy was assassinated. In 1968 Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated as he was running for President.

The man who was blamed for the assassination of President Kennedy was Lee Harvey Oswald. Documentary evidence proves when Oswald was arrested in New Orleans on multiple charges in August 1963 he requested to speak to a specific FBI agent. After that meeting Oswald’s charges were all dropped except for a single misdemeanor charge of disturbing the peace and he was fined $10. Later, evidence also proved that Oswald was a CIA asset as well.

Strangely enough…RFK was assassinated in 1968 during his campaign for President…allegedly by Sirhan. And another oddity was the “second gun-man” theory regarding the assassination. The gun used by Sirhan was an eight-shot .22LR caliber Iver Johnson Cadet 55-A revolver. Eight people were hit in the shooting, including Kennedy being hit 3 times, with another round passing through his jacket. Another 5 people were wounded.

However, forensic investigators found evidence of 13 rounds having been fired. Further, the trajectory of the entry wound of the round that entered Kennedy’s brain didn’t match the position of the alleged assassin. And there were multiple witnesses, including Kennedy staff, that reported that there was a woman and man that were involved in the shooting. Oddly, Sirhan was only able to fire 2 shots before he was tackled to the ground and covered by the bodies of several men. Although, Sirhan did keep firing his revolver while under the pile of bodies.

But even stranger, kinda, one of Kennedy’s advisors who was also shot that night stated that there was a second gunman. And RFK, Jr after meeting with the alleged killer Sirhan stated someone else shot his father.

Now let’s throw this in there as well…RFK, Jr. pointed out that Sirhan’s lawyer at his original trial, Grant Cooper, was Johnny Rosselli’s personal lawyer. “Roselli,” RFK, Jr said, “was the [Mafia] mobster who ran the assassination program for the CIA against Castro. Cooper pressured Sirhan to plead guilty so that there was no trial.”

Just hang in there with me a minute…this gets so incredible and really interesting.

  • RFK, Jr says Thane Eugene Cesar killed his father.

  • At the time of the killing Thane Eugene Cesar worked for Lockheed Aircraft, a CIA contractor. Cesar worked in an area of Lockheed controlled only by the CIA.

  • But Cesar also was “moonlighting” for a security company Ace Security Services. Ace was providing security for Kennedy. Cesar was added to the security detail at the last minute.

  • And Cesar had also worked for Hughes Aerospace. Howard Hughes owned Hughes Aerospace. Howard Hughes also had deep ties to the CIA.

  • Cesar had been seen in Las Vegas with a known Florida-based mob hitman shortly before RFK was killed.

  • Hughes Aerospace was headquartered in Las Vegas and Howard Hughes lived in Las Vegas.

  • Cesar changed his story to police about the shooting multiple times.

Notice the tie on the ground to the left of RFK? It belongs to Thane Eugene Cesar. “Allegedly” Kennedy ripped it off of Cesar while defending himself? Ironically, it was later revealed that Cesar hated both the Kennedy brothers and thought them a threat to the United States. So why was he hired at the last minute as a security guard for Kennedy?

One last bit on info before I wrap this up…the coroner stated the shots that entered RFK’s body came from the back of Kennedy, slightly to the right side, at point blank range (meaning no more than 1″ – 3″ away). However, all witnesses stated that Sirhan had always been in front of Kennedy during the incident probably at a distance of 3 – 4 feet, but in no case closer that 1-1/2 feet. Guess where Cesar was standing the whole time from before and during shooting…yup, you guessed it…right behind Kennedy, literally holding Kennedy’s right arm…within inches.

Okay, I can’t resist this one…remember the woman and man running away from RFK’s killing? Yeah, multiple reports/witnesses indicate that the woman was a CIA “handler” and the man was a CIA “operative”.

So, if I were a skeptical man, thinking outside the box just for the fun of it:

  • Both Kennedy brothers objected to the CIA.
  • Both Kennedy brothers assassinated.
  • Both assassinations show a second-gunman.
  • Both assassinations show Mafia involvement.
  • Both assassinations show multiple CIA connections.

And best of all…both assassinations were investigated by the FBI. And here we go…ready for this…as a result of the FBI investigations the FBI cleared the FBI and the CIA from any involvement in either assassination. Not just that…the FBI labeled anything other than the FBI’s official stories as nothing more than “conspiracy theories.” Ah, there you go…we can all rest easy now…nothing to see, move along. I feel better now, what about you?

So back to the original question…”Is the FBI really against Trump?

Let’s hope not…I for one surely don’t think so.

SitRep – 02/04/2025

The shit is really starting to hit the fan! I hate to tell you…it is now getting real, very real. And it won’t go well.

Here is the problem…violence from illegal aliens is out of control and getting worse. But that has been going on for awhile; not to trivialize it, but it is the truth. The Trump appointee confirmation hearings are ugly at the very best, and it shows who is who…and that is exposing some very dark sides of our politicians. But what is the worse part of all of this is what is happening in the newest coup against Trump that started last year.

Let me touch on the illegal alien violence problem first. And the easiest way to do that is with hard facts. I took just parts of two days and boiled it down to just a small fraction of what is happening…and using it as examples:

January 31 –

  • Woman randomly stabbed by an illegal alien while walking down Los Angeles street in the middle of the day.
  • A 32-year-old man, under the influence, who was previously deported, did not have a valid driver’s license, did not try to slow down at a stop sign and crashed into another vehicle resulting in the death of a 30-year-old US citizen. He was driving a company vehicle and the company knew he was in the US illegally but still employed him.

February 1 –

  • A Boca Raton couple ambushed in driveway by 3 men, all illegal aliens, $250,000 of jewelry and cash taken at gun point. The trio had spotted them as a local casino earlier in the evening and followed them home to ambush them.
  • In Chicago, over the course of half an hour, two men brutally attacked a man, robbed him and left him tied up in his basement, where he remained until his sister found him dead. The killers were identified as Morales-21 and Ubilla-Delgado-29, both illegals. Delgado was wearing a DHS GPS monitoring device on his ankle at the time of the brutal murder. Morales was previously arrested Jan 12th (less than 3 weeks earlier) and accused of attempted sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl. However, he was only charged with simple assault and released. Yeah, and not turned over to ICE.

Hearing that Trump is arresting as many as 1500 people per day and deporting them by the plane load makes my heart sing! Now, if we could just get it up to 15,000 or more per day. That would start making a dent in the horrific illegal alien problem in the US.

Now, on to the Trump and the coup against him…

The confirmation battles could be seen as part of the coup but I am not willing to go that far…yet. What I am speaking of is far, far worse. Remember the last coup against President Trump? It was led by the FBI with support from the DOJ and CIA. Technically, the FBI’s operation against Trump started during the campaign in 2016 when the FBI embedded spies in Trump’s campaign staff. It turned into an official “coup” after Trump took office as President of the United States in 2017. Whistleblowers and official documents, along with Congressional hearings, have confirmed that.

Before more info on the FBI, let’s not forget that after Trump was elected last year, the Pentagon held secret meetings on how to thwart changes they expected to come from Trump. That was the first exposed aspect of the current coup that was forming. Okay, moving on…

Congressional hearings over the last 4 years have exposed widespread corruption that has existed at the FBI for a long time now. Christopher Wray, previous FBI Director, repeatedly lied under oath at Congressional hearings…a now proven fact. As expected, he resigned the day before Trump was sworn in…hoping to avoid prosecution and prison time?

During Patel’s conformation hearing Sen. Josh Hawley showed the documents proving that the FBI targeted parents at school board meetings who objected to the “woke” crap at their children’s schools, the FBI was referring to them as potential domestic terrorists. Along with that it was proven that the FBI targeted elderly senior citizens for their pro-life views and sending heavily armed FBI SWAT teams to violently arrest them.

And most disturbing…Hawley also showed the actual FBI memo that targeted churches for the FBI to embed spies into congregations and acquire confidential informants from clergy of their church members who held pro-life views. All three of these issues were vehemently denied by Wray and DOJ AG Garland…under oath in hearings. Ironically, Garland also resigned just prior to Trump being sworn in. Odd?

So why are these issues important? Because the FBI is once again heading the coup against a sitting US President. How do we know this?

Let me touch on one more issue…Jan6th. Multiple whistleblowers have revealed that the FBI was not only operating out of policy, but illegally, in regards to operations against anyone present at the Capitol on January 6th regardless of their involvement…or lack thereof…including the FBI’s investigatory process post-event. And once again, when asked during Congressional oversight hearings, if the FBI had assets (agents and informers) present in the crowd, Wray and Garland either denied it or wouldn’t answer. Well, it turns out that once again…the FBI was covering up their crap.

Now…to the heart of the matter…after taking office President Trump finds out about some of the worst offenders in the FBI involvement with the Jan6th dark operations…and fires those FBI personnel. Seems fair enough…the right thing to do by the person with the power to do so.

Well, that move brought to light the real issue…a senior FBI leader openly admitted that they were “battling” Trump. Why? Well, Trump fired dirty agents and leaders in the FBI, and the Trump Administration also wanted names of all the FBI personnel involved in the Jan6th investigations, prosecutions, and persecutions. Why? Obviously to investigate any potential instances of FBI wrongdoing that was brought to light by whistleblowers. Natural thing to do…seek justice under the law. Makes perfect sense…why not ensure integrity in the FBI.

But not everyone sees it that way…as in the wrongdoers themselves don’t see it that way. The FBI doesn’t want their dirty, filthy, and potentially illegal activities brought to light. And even worse…the FBI doesn’t want any FBI personnel held accountable for their actions. Typical of the FBI since its inception.

Here we go to the evidence…On February 2nd an FBI email was leaked that exposed the FBI’s role in the current coup against President Trump. The assistant director in charge of the FBI’s New York field office, told staff in an email that they’re in the midst of a “battle” against the Trump and his administration. His exact words…“Today, we find ourselves in the middle of a battle.”

So there you have it…A former military officer, now a senior official in the FBI claiming they are battling President Trump and the White House. And there are still people that wonder why the FBI is viewed in the darkest and vilest of terms. Maybe they earned it? But please don’t overlook the FBI’s official’s tie to him being a former military officer…that is an important link. Remember the earlier mention of the Pentagon meetings by the military to oppose Trump? Odd?

President Trump has his hands full…not only fighting tooth and nail against the Democrat Party, but he has to fight America’s secret police agencies and the military as well. Pray for President Trump…there are dark and evil forces arraying against him.

Does it get worse? Of course!

Congressional rep Maxine Waters has called for people to “fight in the streets” and to become “confrontational” against President Trump. And the leader of the Dems in the House, Hakeem Jeffries, encouraged Democrats to fight the president in the streets.

Gee, didn’t the left try to assassinate Trump TWICE last year????

At some point do you see this all coming to a boiling point?

Think about it…the economy was already doing terrible under Biden…worst in decades, a lot of decades, and inflation was killing the middle class. Now we are looking at trade wars which will potentially bring some additional short term pain. A clear warning sign was Warren Buffet, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, was selling large chunks of Berkshire’s stock portfolio throughout 2024 moving into cash. That is only done when economic trouble is on the horizon. Coincidental?

I applaud President Trump’s efforts to drain the swamp, reform Washington, shrink the federal government, get rid of worthless federal employees, etc. And most of all…stem the invasion of illegals and send them packing. But do you really think the forces opposing him will simply allow him to do as he pleases? Do you think they might be planning a major move against him…maybe more than one? Let’s face it…1/2 of Congress is calling for confrontation, if not fighting, in the streets against our President…and the FBI says they are in a battle against Trump. What does that tell you?

For me and my house:

  1. Pray for peace, civility, and strength of character and morality.
  2. Be peaceable, and understand our God-given rights and how to exercise them.
  3. Prepare ourselves mentally, spiritually, and physically for what is to come.
  4. Serve others.
  5. Stay focused on what is important, ignore the static and noise.

Consider what might be coming and how it would affect yourself and your family. Then ponder and pray about what you can do.

Trouble in Solar Paradise

Twenty-two months ago I added a new 230ah 48v Trophy battery to our solar system. That coincided with a major upgrade to the entire solar system we have here at the glamstead. The system seriously changed our lifestyle in several ways; 1) air conditioning all night if needed, 2) bathroom electric baseboard heat 24/7 in the winter, 3) and double the AC power along with 240v capability. The system purred along flawlessly…until about 5 months ago.

Sometime in September (last year) I just happened to be in the utility room and I noticed that all batteries were charging, but the two Elite batteries (205ah 48v) were not displaying the same number of lights on the State of Charge (SOC) indicator. One was at 83% and the other was at 67% SOC but both were charging. I thought it was nothing more than a balancing issue so I basically ignored it. Ooooppppssssss…

A week later I was again in the utility room to get a tool on a cloudy day and I noticed that the lights were once again doing the same thing but not charging…it was 100% overcast. Now it got my attention. Fast forward 5 months…problem with one of our Elite batteries. From my best guess it is now at about 70 – 75% total capacity of the other Elite battery. Meaning it is now a 145 – 150ah battery. Not good, but not life endangering either. Obviously the battery has one or more weak “cells” in my way of thinking, the other cells are still doing their job.

Let me do a quick recap…I have 3 batteries in my solar system; a single 2-year old Trophy battery that is 230ah, and 2 Elite batteries that are 205ah each, totaling 640ah or 37.7kwh. Decent sized battery bank for an off-grid home. The two Elite batteries were bought at different times, 1 in early 2021, the other in late 2021. The Trophy battery was added in December 2022. All batteries match charging parameters (+/-.1volts).

I initially thought the batteries would eventually balance, match similar SOC, and maintain that for the most part. I was wrong. Each battery acts independent in charging and discharging…which actually turned out to be a blessing. The Elites generally discharge slightly faster than the Trophy and generally lag when charging. But no problems overall with maintaining a nice amount of power in the bank. Well, until I noticed the one Elite having an issue.

A visit to the shop where I bought them was warranted…for a warranty claim. (yes, pun intended) Ah, problem…the commie company in China that made the batteries was no longer around and not available to stand behind the warranty. That’s what I get for “bargain shopping” critical components. Yes, I did know what I was getting into at the time…money was an issue.

So here is where I’m at…battery bank is now at about 590ah vs 640ah. Let’s call it an 8% loss of power storage…maybe 10%. And on top of that…a weak battery with no idea for sure how long it will last. The good thing is that each battery is acting independently and doesn’t “draw-down” power from the other batteries to maintain the weak one. I guess it is a combination of the batteries’ BMS controllers and the design of the LifePo4 chemistry. But, I am still left with a somewhat bogus battery.

The owner of the shop where I bought it is also a very good friend of mine and felt terrible about the problem…but I was not the only person in the same boat…but he couldn’t stand 100% behind the warranty without the manufacturer supporting him. Unfortunate, but understandable. Given that he is a trustworthy person we came to a deal…he would do a “cost only” sale…and would do a trade for the amount due for something I had that he wanted and I could easily live without. Done! But here is where it gets interesting…

200Ah batteries are not cheap as of yet, although 100ah batteries have come down dramatically…now $800 – $1,000 all over the place. I will be the proud recipient of two of the new MidNite MNPowerflo5 Lithium Iron Phosphate server rack battery (100ah, 51.2v, 5.1kwh). The charge parameters are close enough to my existing batteries that there will be no issues. But WAIT you say! These are 100ah batteries not 200ah batteries…they won’t work!!! Ah, they will.

You see I will place the 2 new batteries together and parallel connect them together, then connect them to my Victron PowerIn bussbar unit. My system will then see the 2 new batteries as a single 200ah battery. And, each batteries BMS will control the batteries as needed during charge/discharge operations.

Here’s what the new battery bank will look like…

So a logical question would be…So these two new batteries replace the one existing weak battery? Nope!

The “weak” battery is still fully functional/operational at this point…just not maintaining its full capacity. So I will keep the weak battery in the bank and simply add the two new ones. Yup, that takes me from about approximately 590ah (30kwh) to 770ah (39kwh). Not bad, eh? And yes, I will keep a close eye on the weak battery and remove it from the bank if I notice it harming overall system operations.

Moral of the story…sometimes a problem turns into a blessing.

Also…I want to add into this conversation a point that I cannot stress enough. If you are going to have solar, especially if off-grid, it is essential to have some knowledge about how solar works…including the equipment specs and the general theories of each process step. Why? Can you imagine if a retail guy had installed the system, and I had the same problem, what would/could have been the outcome?

I can tell you this…based on people I know who were in trouble situations (i.e. not enough panels, not enough batteries, etc.) most solar companies would try and sell you a whole new system, or at least part of one) and make it sound like the only viable option. Why? Because an unknowledgeable solar system owner would have no idea that the real problem was only a single weak battery…an $1,800 fix vs laying out 10’s of thousands of dollars for stuff not needed.

Yeah, I can’t help myself…I will post about the install/upgrade and include pictures. And FYI…I got my hands on 6 more compatible solar panels so you know what that means…a new array for the system in the near future!!!
