There are two main differences; 1) 3 years difference – the Boston Tea Party in 1773 and the Boston Massacre in 1770,  2) in the Boston Massacre 5 people died, 6 were wound – no one died during the Boston Tea Party.

My point? Timing is everything. There is a time and place for patriots to act, there is a time for patriots to plan and wait.

I would like to expand this discussion just a little bit. Did you hear the frustration in AJ’s post? Especially the part where he says, “…what are ordinary citizens supposed to do? Sit back like 90% of the Germans did and allow evil to wipe out everything?”

This is a person who is fed up with the evil in our country, who has seen it, who understands it, and is tired of it…to the point of extreme frustration. And therein lies the problem. He continues, “Sitting back and watching my freedoms and God given rights being taken away is not the way I want to live.”

Right there tells me he is ready to do something about the problem, and brother, do I understand that. Day after day I see what is happening and want to do something, anything to change the course of our destruction. But, how did 1/6 work out for them? Other than get a bunch of people arrested, more than 500 people identified by the FBI for possible prosecution/persecution…what did it accomplish? Just a whole lot of bad…negative…to say nothing of the horrible PR (public relations). Oh, and several people died as a result of that day. I ask you this…Was it worth it?

If you read my response to him, I was trying to tell him the differences between good/bad actions. Maybe a better  way to state that would be…effective vs ineffective actions.

The Boston Tea Party was an effective and successful action. Made a clear statement, won popular support, and did so without any loss of life during the action. However, the Boston Massacre was just the opposite. It was an ineffective action; got patriots killed, was terrible PR, and even the Colonists let the British soldiers off the hook during their trial.

During these times we must be very wise and judicious in actions we take. We must do those things which are effective and accomplish positives. We must avoid doing those things that are stupid and which only promote reactionary violence against the bigger cause of freedom, rights, and liberties. We must be patient.

It was only a couple years after the Boston Tea Party that armed struggle broke out between the oppressive government and the colonial patriots. And even then it was a direct result of an offensive move by government troops against the local Lexington militia…and then the colonist patriots went into action to defend themselves. But, even then it was years later before freedom was won.

The FBI and all of the other government troops are planning…making calculated moves…waiting in the shadows. They are waiting to destroy the patriot movement, to eliminate freedom fighters, to crush those that want freedoms, rights, and liberty…all those who wish to live in a Constitutional Republic…under a Constitution that guarantees God-given rights. Do not fall into their traps…they are waiting for those who do so.

Be wise…listen to God…exercise your faith…do only those things that will prepare you, your family, and your congregation/community for those things that are coming.

Timing is everything.

As you know, at least those of you that frequent my website, I can be controversial, bold, sarcastic, cynical, but always truthful in what I say and I believe what I say. I am not afraid to say the “tough” things, encourage people to do and be better, and you know that I am not a conservative, nor am I a Trump sycophant.

Okay, you also know that I have written about censorship, both present and future. I’ve spoken about disinformation and misinformation. I’ve written about wolves in sheep’s clothing.

Alright I will stop with the “prologue” to the substance of my post. Sorry, about all of the flowery rambling…but there is a point to it…so hold on just a few minutes.

On 1/10/2021 I wrote an “Immediate Action Warning! – Big Tech Actions” <click to read it> In that article it starts off with this “Background: Recent attack on the US Capitol Building by radical right Trump supporters…”

At the end of that article under “Actions to Take” the #1 item is this…

“Ensure that your foundational principles are sound, moral, and ethical…and do NOT reflect any active or passive intention for incitement of the overthrow of the US government, or especially any attack on US officials or federal buildings.”

On 1/7/2021 I wrote an article “Well, well, well…(SitRep 1/7/2021)” <click to read it> In that article the following paragraph is very prominent and clear as a bell…

“Let’s get back to yesterday…was it in any way justified? No! No justification for it in any way whatsoever! If you think it was justified and appropriate to any degree…then you are an anarchist, you don’t support the Constitution, and not any better than the AntiFa crazies. Or possibly you could simply be extremely ignorant of all things Constitutional. But I doubt that any of my website visitors had any support for what happened yesterday when the violent anarchists stormed the Capital Building.”

So, you being an intelligent person probably got a pretty clear message what I thought about those activities on 1/6 and my opinion of who committed them. Yes?

Let’s go back to the Immediate Action Warning! of 1/10/2021, yesterday (2/2/2021) I received the following…

Since “Actual Patriot” is not a known visitor to my website, and not a known entity to the company that hosts my website, his comment needed to be “approved” by me before it could appear as a comment to the article. That approval process is designed to keep spammers, whack jobs, hackers, and other questionable folks from overloading the website with crap.

At first I had to read his comment several times, not exactly sure what he was getting at. Then I decided I would approve his comment rather than deny it, even though he sounded more like a trouble maker or whack job than anything. And then I figured I should respond…in a kind way…but being firm and bold it my response…and maybe a bit sarcastic as well. Yeah, plenty of character flaws on my part…but you already know that 😉

So here is my response to him…

Here is a great example of “disinformation”…but first…thank you! I corrected the spelling to “Capitol” as per your information, dang spell checker, thank you again.

Now on to the disinformation…or a very confused person’s (i.e. liberal/progressive) point of view.

“…interfere with the legitimate Constitutional functioning of the U.S. government…and the LEFT is the problem?” Yes, the left is the problem…and so are many on the right, especially the alt-right. Many conservatives have more of an authoritarian leaning than rights/liberties/freedoms. So there you go…more information and clarification to help you become less confused.

“FREE CLUE: your “patriot” movement is the exact OPPOSITE of patriotic.” Ah, if you read the article, or any other similar article on my site you would know, clearly know, that what occurred on 1/6 is not what I believe in nor support. That was made abundantly clear in several articles including the one you replied to, but I guess you chose to hear what you wanted in order to fit your false narrative.

“…strangely, nobody seems to be “suppressing”your ability to host this website …” How do you know that? You make a huge assumption with a modest amount of knowledge…if any. Then again you are making a radical leftist argument while trying to appear to be reasonable. However, you are coming from a very ignorant point of view. Yes, ignorant…not stupid. You have a leftist agenda and you are trying to wrap yourself in the flag of patriotism. But, it is plain that you do not read what is written, or you cannot understand the complexity of the situation, nor my explanation/view of what is happening.

“…spout a bunch of faux-conservative nonsense.” Ah, once again ignorance is the order of the day for you. I an no conservative and have not taken that political position on this website at all. I am a “civil society libertarian.” I would hope you would know the difference. But, I think you have an agenda that precludes you from reading what is written or understanding my points…or ignoring all of it to simply make your points. The “faux-conservative” label you attempted to place on me…well, that alone speaks volumes about you and your intentions…and not in a good way…or a positive light.

“Actual Patriot”…interesting screen name. Might I suggest that you change it to something far more accurate…”Faux Patriot”…I think you would be far more comfortable with that name…helpful to your message readers…and it would be infinitely more accurate.

Well, not so fast. I want to share this with ya’ll because it is a near perfect example of what is happening right now. Maybe you might even go back and read his comment again just to be sure his words are fresh and clear.

I want you to be aware of some observations of mine:

• Notice the screen name, “Actual Patriot”…what message does he wish to imply from that alone? I see it as an attempt at a subliminal message to infer that he is somehow a patriot…superior to us mere dolts who are too ignorant to know that we are not patriots. I also think it is an attempt to sound as if he is qualified to speak above us.
• Then notice “…violent, seditious insurrectionist riot…” straight from the talking points of the radical left media. And it lays the groundwork that the attackers have done nothing less than gone to war with the US government. And that is a very important point…”war”…it allows for extra-judicial treatment.
• He went on “…the legitimate Constitutional functioning of the U.S. government…” is meant to show that those participants are attempting to overthrow the US government. While the riot was in no way appropriate or even legal…there was no intent to overthrow the US government. But he is again laying the foundation for extra-judicial treatment.
• Then I loved this, “…your ‘patriot’ movement…” It is obvious that he is trying to create a solid link/relationship between me and the so-called insurrectionists. He is attempting to label me in such a way that I can be included in, or a contributor to, the actions that took place that day. And he is obviously lying through his teeth because the first line of the article he commented on says the exact opposite of what he is implying. And should he have read my article on 1/7 he would understand that I was extremely harsh in my condemnation of the 1/6 attack. Although, I used more correct terminology and descriptors, rather than simply parroting the leftist media as he did.
• Then comes “…suppressing your ability…” That can be understood as simply a personal attack meant to intimidate me, and sway any other website visitors into believing me to be lying about censorship and big-tech attacks taking place.
• And my favorite “…spout a bunch of faux-conservative nonsense…” So who of you thinks I am a “conservative”???? Do my articles read like a talking head, right-wing conservative? Oh wait, I’ve labeled myself as a flavor of libertarianism (civil society). And I’ve regularly criticized conservatives, especially the law & order freaks and right-wing.
• And then here is the icing on the cake “You should give that some thought.” As you can already read for yourself, that is nothing more than his attempt to put me down intellectually. A show of arrogance and condescension on his part, meant solely to display his superiority over me, just an ignorant savage.

And here is what I find interesting…Did you read a single line of his comment where he even attempted to disprove anything I said?

Granted he did write…

That could be his attempt to discredit my entire article and prove me wrong on everything I said…but, I think that would be a weak argument. And for the record, I don’t “host” this website…I simply own it and post articles to it…another company hosts it. Yeah, I know…that was petty…sorry…kind of 😉

So what was his purpose…his intent…in writing to me?

Here’s what I think:

• I think he tried to intimidate me by taking the true patriotic high ground and thus be the real expert.
• I think he intended to discredit me in the eyes of other website visitors in order to reduce my influence.
• I think he is a leftist, a radical leftist, that is part of the attack taking place in America right now. And he is clearly an authoritarian believer.
• And strangely enough, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, he attempted to somehow link me directly to the radical right and others that attacked the Capitol Building on 1/6. And that is a very deliberate move on his part. If he can do so…that opens the doors to…extra-judicial treatment.

So there you have it! I wanted to write this article to show what it is happening. While this is a minor and weak attack on me by a rather dull-witted leftist/authoratarian, it was an attack none the less. It is an example of what may come your way. I want you to think about different ways they may attack you…or a member of your family. Once you have done that…think about how you will respond.

In normal times I would probably have not even approved his comment since it was so nonsensical and rather obvious in his motive…lacking any serious or valuable intellectual content. And yes I know, nothing in my reply made any difference to him and won’t change his opinion. My reply wasn’t designed for that purpose..or even for him..

“Actual Patriot” is obviously an oxymoron. And this is VERY important!!!! But worse than that, remember George Soros, a European Jew during WW2? He took the role as a paid informer of the Gestapo, helping round up fellow Jews who ended up murdered in concentration camps. Well, “Actual Patriot” sounds like the kind of individual that would turn in his neighbor for illegally owning a gun, sending him to prison. Or just as likely, reporting someone to authorities who would not toe the Authoritarian Party line, sending them to a reeducation camp. Or maybe he even resembles the next low-life George Soros. Who knows…but now you can see that these people are out there. They are ready to go to work…if not already at work.

For an interesting exercise…If you had received an email similar to this, how would you handle it? Can you identify those red flags someone would say that would reveal them as a leftist? Or an authoritarian? Or someone who is actually a danger to you or your family?

Spot on! It has been horrifying to watch the Biden/Harris cartel burn down the gains we have seen in the economy, foreign policy, the military and much more. Up in smoke! With just the shutting down of the Keystone pipe line, and the Border wall, 110,000 jobs vanished. The number of executive orders coming out is frightening. He is legislating from the Oval Office. That is not his Job! Congress is supposed to legislate, but they don’t seem to know how anymore. At least to pass decent laws that benefit the most citizens. They have all (Executive, Legislative, and Judiciary) gone into the weeds. None of them seem to be acting in favor of their electorate. Don’t get me started on the ABC agencies. in a word we are in Trouble.

Very good discussion – I always appreciate your attitude on things. I think at this point minor semantics on what happened on 1/6 are irrelevant – the left got what they wanted and will repeat it ad infinitum, and even if the facts eventually show something different, it won’t matter because the narrative has already been written.

I woke up this morning with an interesting though (completely unrelated, but related at the same time) that for the “right”, the military industrial complex was their sugar daddy. For the “left”, it’s Big Pharma/MSM/Big Tech that is theirs. Follow the money. It’s all about money and power. Satan’s goal – everyone must be controlled.

Amen! I’ve been preaching about “money & power” for years…it is destroying individuals, families, communities, and been doing a number on our country since “lobbyists” came about back in the mid-1800’s. Nothing makes money for the ruling class like a good war. Just look at what Bush/Obama/Trump did to us over the last nearly two decades.

Another non sequitur – you made a point the other day that won’t leave my mind. You said “you must work even harder to clarify the principles in which you believe, stand firm in those principles no matter what, and prepare for everything that is coming.” That phrase has been stuck, playing over and over in my mind, and making me really ask questions about myself and my views. I knew where I stood before, that’s not at issue. But when the light of day is shone upon my values, do they withstand the pressure that will inevitably be placed on me over them? Will I be willing to sacrifice my job? My career? My home? I have asked those questions before but suddenly they have become more than simply an exercise in “what if”. They have become reality.

You got it! And I can well imagine the answers to your questions…simply by the way you stated the issue and what it means to you. You’ll be fine my friend! Remember the last line of the Declaration of Independence…

“And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm Reliance on the Protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.”

I also loved your last line in that same post “I beg you to get ready, to be prepared, to be sane and grounded in reality, avoid idols, avoid worshiping man, avoid politics as usual, grasp the iron rod of good…and don’t let go!” The fact that you mentioned idols is interesting because I have done a little study on idols in our modern day. Most people would think idols being movie stars, sports heros, etc and while true, that is a myopic view. It’s much much much more than that. It’s sports in general (ie what happens if you can’t watch your team play this week or tonight?), or having to watch another movie, or play that video game. All idols of our modern day. How about a new car? Idol for most people. So many of our neighbors are putting in swimming pools. I’m not talking one or two – like 7 just on our street alone! To me, that is idol worship – have to be as good as your neighbors or better.

I’m trying really hard to look at each piece of information I receive from the light of truth. Not everything can be discerned right away. But the one thing that stands out is that there is NO way to know truth from falsehood unless we are grounded spiritually and know how to listen to the Spirit or our conscience. So many people out there have chosen to ignore their inner whisperings in favor of power, money, influence, personal desires, you name it. And so here we have a situation where knowing how to listen even closer to that is more important than ever.

Sorry for the spewing of train of thought. I just want to reiterate – keep writing. Keep publishing. And I’ll keep reading.

Great response/reply from Jason regarding my posting of his “feedback” yesterday. I love it when folks reply/respond and then we can discuss issues a little more. It is folks like Jason and his willingness to talk and listen that will make those of us who live in reality be able to stand up to what is coming.

I woke up being prompted to read my email right away. I read Jason’s email and it simply made a great start to my day! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

What I mean about the FBI is that they are involved, meaning that they are not just hoping for armed citizens, they may have even written the flyer to instigate it. Or it was created by the left to finally destroy the right, which it would do if the right is so ignorant to fall for this ploy.

I don’t doubt either of your proposals…either or both could be true. I remember back to when the FBI wrote a horrible anonymous letter to Martin Luther King, Jr trying to convince him to kill himself. Of course he didn’t fall for it. And it wasn’t too long after that he was assassinated.

And Jason, now you see why for a very long time I have been telling folks, pleading with them, to not attend these kinds of events. You never know what they can turn into…and they can have really bad outcomes.

I certainly do not agree w everything Trump did either. There are some thoughts that Trump is “playing chess” & many moves ahead of the left, I am doubtful that the following is true but there are thoughts that he will have many arrests from the Swamp. That he has planned to get back into office after all of the arrests, including Biden/Harris, etc, and that the left will be so upset which is why he has called in the troops in advance to stop the riots that will occur from them, but he got the left to believe that this is only to prevent the far right from their riots instead.

It sounds like a QAnon message…pure fantasy…all of it a complete fraud. Sorry, I don’t believe a word of it. The swamp was hardly drained during Trump’s 4 years. Actually, none of even the swamps 3rd tier players were touched, let alone any leaders. No, there is no widespread draining of the swamp now by Trump or any time soon by anyone. Trump is gone, Biden/Harris and the radical authoritarians will now rule over us. At least for a time.

The way you wrote to me was certainly more kind than mine to you, I thank you for that. I know you have said to be careful of conspiracies, but to be honest there is so much info out there that it is hard to know what is true and what is not. In the end it is much better to be unified & kind to others than fall for all the divisiveness that exists. So I apologize for my lack of kindness, and continue to appreciate your thoughts.

The way you wrote was fine, nothing wrong, your were expressing yourself. Now, I could show you some stuff people (self proclaimed Christians) have said to me that would curl your toes and you might lose faith in humanity. Your feedback/comments…well, no offense taken at all by anything you said. It was like we were having a frank discussion face-to-face. Please, no need to apologize…none at all.

There is too much information out there…WAY to much. And what I mean by that…a whole lot of it is purely made up, some is disinformation from political and governmental (foreign & domestic) sources, and then there are folks who are trying to create their own fantasy world of what they want things to be. Unfortunately we all have to sift through what we see and hear and read…then decide for ourselves what to believe…then live our lives accordingly.

In the end it is much better to be unified & kind to others than fall for all the divisiveness that exists.

Amen! Amen! and Amen!  The only way evil will be defeated is our being unified as disciples of Christ and practicing His teachings.

Feedback from Jason concerning my post this morning FAQ – 1/14/2021

I’m going to disagree with you on several of your points because some of them are coming from your own personal biases. Now not to get off on the wrong foot I’ve always enjoyed the things that you have written, however it is very apparent right now that you’re seemingly very opposed to Trump and the things that he has done.

I am not opposed to Trump for heaven’s sake! I thought I made that pretty dang clear in my post. I disagree and object to some of his actions. I don’t buy into everything he does…I am not a Trump sycophant.

So Point number one I agree with that having armored vehicles and police and Military presence of police is a scary thing and should not be here in the United States. I wonder if it is what the left was hoping for, but that Trump was planning in advance anyway? I know this goes into conspiracy theories and may not have any accuracy at all.

Of course that is what the left was hoping for…you are absolutely right. It plays right into their game plan of turning us even further to an authoritarian regime. I am not sure what you mean by “…Trump was planning in advance anyway…” Why would Trump plan to have the military called out? …to do what? I would like to hear your thoughts on that one.

Your second point I completely agree with as there’s a huge convergence between media big Tech government censorship and other things that are completely on the Marxist Trail. They are scary dangerous and completely destroying the Republic that we have had to the point where it’s almost gone.

Point number three I think that the media has basically made fools out of everybody over this one about the radical right and those that stormed the capital first the timeline doesn’t fit has Trump was still speaking when certain people decided to storm the capitol. I wonder and think that many of them were Trump supporters and radical rights and that side of things and tired and frustrated and fed up with everything. I sympathize with their feelings I do not sympathize with the methods that they chose to use to show their frustration anger at cetera they really hurt the conservative movement. However then you talk about the 50 state capitals armed event you know armed citizens everything about that feels like it is not coming from the radical right. It looks and sounds and feels like it is actually a ploy to get people out to the Capitals in arms Etc whoever is in charge of it knows that generally speaking it is vying for the conservatives opportunity to get together. However most of the time when there’s an organizational event like this planned it always says who the support is of it unless it’s antifa or leftist side of things there is no information as to which group it is that’s gathering this these 50 state capital armed citizens to Raleigh.

Well, there is ample evidence that the Boogaloo Movement is behind some of those rallies, evidence that the Proud Boys are behind some of them. Solid evidence that bona fide Trump supporters behind some of them. Whispers that some White Supremacists behind a couple.  I don’t know who is behind all of them and I have no sure idea who is behind the Raleigh rally.

Amen brother…but I sympathize with only some of their feelings since I am not aware of ALL of their feelings. It appears some  of their feelings involved criminals acts being appropriate…and that is not agreeable to me.

It has the look and feel of red and yellow you know it’s very communistic in it’s in the way the banner is set up. I think it is a complete farce in fact I would even call it a false flag possibly from the FBI or from the far left if this is not something that the right put together.

I have no doubt in my mind that the FBI is encouraging the events to take place. It makes it very easy for them to use the event to strengthen their anti-American, anti-Constitutional position of supporting the shift to an authoritarian regime. If they don’t strike at them then and there…they have all the intel to strike them later.

Another point you make is that the Trump impeachment doesn’t affect anybody and that’s simply not true. A trump impeachment if it goes through would prevent Trump from running again oh, I’m not saying that people would vote for him again in 2024 but an impeachment prevent anybody from voting for him in 2024 because he would not be able to run if that was the plan. It also takes away a huge portion of time and taxpayer money and is just simply ludicrous to think that it’s even an appropriate thing to do based on the fact that somebody is saying that Trump incited the violence and the Sedition etcetera Etc, while the left did nothing except for praise the violence and the mostly peaceful protests and quote during the summer and fall and in fact were say saying things that were inciting violence and saying things like hang Mike Pence or other things throughout the entire summer and fall go to the capital and then get their heads, or other things.

Well, I guess that this is where we have a minor disagreement. First off, Trump has already been impeached, it happened yesterday, 1/13. Trump’s impeachment DOESN’T keep him from running again. Now, if he is convicted in the Senate…that might. It would take a specific baring of future office as part of the penalty phase, which is not a given.

I don’t give a crap about them spending the money on impeachment. They are going to spend the time and money on something…and it will ALL be wasteful! So let them have at it.

And I never said it was appropriate. I think it is stupid as hell, vindictive, petty, and perfectly in-line with the insanity of the left. But, it is their legal right…let them do it they so wish as long as it is legal. Legal doesn’t mean moral or ethical.

It is complete doublespeak and hypocrisies and very Orwellian. Anybody who has read 1984 knows that we are experiencing everything that was going on for 1984 with a doublespeak and all the lies and the hypocrisies and the disinformation Etc.

Bingo!!!! Why heck do you think I have been encouraging people to read 1984…and Brave New World?

And finally, of course I have bias…it is called opinion…and I’ve been sharing that since the inception of the website. And you know that…and keep coming back for more 😉

See we disagree on one very minor part, whether the impeachment means anything to us personally. I still don’t think it does…at all. Other than that…your opinions and mine line up pretty close to exact!

I just had to tell you that I am grateful for your level-headed responses to all the chaos around us right now. I have seen a lot in my days, even spent some time in DC as a page back in the early 80s (I stood on the floor of the House during President Reagan’s State of the Union address in 1983. Amazing.) and can see how much corruption exists there now, beyond anything we have ever experienced. Your call to be spiritually self-reliant is more important now than ever before – we MUST know the will of the Lord for ourselves. We cannot (and SHOULD not) rely on any person/thing/political idea to “save” us. There is only ONE Savior – and we must have a personal relationship with Him.

Well, no quibbles today. Nailed every topic accurately. 

No, actually, I do agree with everything except that Trump is a “ego maniac.” An egotist, absolutely. But ego maniac suggests literal mentally unfit, someone that needs to literally be locked up…which he isn’t. Oh, he has a HUGE ego and loves to stroke that ego himself, if enough others aren’t doing it for him…which makes him an egotist.

Or, for consistency, you’d also have to lock up the majority of male New York City natives that I’ve also known through my life. That’s just how they breed many of them there.

Now, separate subject: The events of the last few days have played so well into the hands of the extreme Left, that it is hard to believe that it wasn’t to some extent manipulated by that extreme Left.

Their current goal, having won the election via final certification of the EC votes, is to ruin Trump’s ability to remain a political force in the nation. Yes, they’re afraid of him post-term, lest he do the conservative equivalent of what Soros and other billionaires have done on the Left. So far, they’re doing a pretty good job of it.

And, what about actions of Twitter and Facebook banning Trump:
— who never banned Stacey Abrams when she claimed for FOUR YEARS that her election in Georgia was fraudulently stolen from her, even went around introducing herself as the “real Governor of Georgia.”
— Has permitted thousands of antifa types to openly use their platforms to explicitly organize violence for MONTHS this election year. Only a few stray, small-time antifa types have been banned, usually for something so dire as promising that all of the capitalists would be lined up against the wall and shot, if they didn’t get with the program. OH, WAIT. That was the Twitter CEO, and he wasn’t banned…why not? The answer to that seems clear, isn’t it?

We live in interesting times. Time to batten down the hatches.

Also, just a point of clarification…Egomania is psychiatric term used to describe excessive preoccupation with one’s ego, identity or self and applies the same preoccupation to anyone who follows one’s own ungoverned impulses, is possessed by delusions of personal greatness & grandeur and feels a lack of appreciation. Someone suffering from this extreme egocentric focus is an egomaniac. (and that there is the official version of the definition)

So YUP!  In my personal, non-professional opinion…Trump is an egomaniac…according to the official definition. Does he need locked up? Nope…unless he keeps going down the rabbit hole.

It’s been a full week since I posted “Crotchety old man…” and my ears are burning. For those of you under 50 that is a saying that goes something like “people have been talking about me” if I remember right. But, you get my point if you read the comments to that crotchety post.

I had no idea that post would garner so much attention, and so many comments. It is the most commented on post on the entire website by an order of magnitude. And it is one of the most viewed pages…even got two views this morning so far.  As for the comments…I’ve read them multiple times to make sure I was hearing what each person had to say. I also responded to each and every comment…even the freak show comment from an even more crotchety old person…and I mean really crotchety. And, I will ignore their comment in the rest of this post.

So let me start off by saying…I had no idea I would get the kind of comments that I did from that post. The comments were quite honestly overwhelming in kindness, support, understanding, and encouragement. I have to get personal here…I was seriously touched and humbled.

Each comment meant something special to me. There were a couple who made observations of me that were eerily too close to truth. I had no idea I exposed myself that much, or maybe they are just very observant, or listen to the spirit really well. And then there was one that reminded me that if my site and my efforts never did anything else but what he referred to…it was all worth it. You see, just a couple years ago he wrote to me and explained he had found Christ, gained a testimony, joined the church, his wife joined the church, they are active in callings at church, and (for you LDS folks) they were sealed in the temple. If there was ever a reason to do something…that is it…help someone come unto Christ.

So you guys get the idea…ya’ll touched me…and I mean really made an impact on my outlook on this website and my time and efforts. It quite honestly surprised me.

So here is what I want to talk about…

1. The site won’t go dark or go off-line.
2. I will continue to write.
3. I will get a plan together to resurrect Escape from Home and get that book back on track.

However, I can’t make any promises on how much writing I will do or how often I will post. I will let the spirit move me, I will let current events dictate, and I will simply do the best I can given my circumstances.

Why the change of heart? Well, I already explained some of it. But, I will be open with you…a series of personal setbacks took place that impacted my outlook. I’ve developed a serious debilitating problem with my right arm. That is my shooting hand/arm and the arm I rely on for my strength. Five years ago I tore up my left shoulder so that arm has its limitations…my right arm is essential to me. I will know more when the test results get back. My feet have taken a turn for the worst and there are days when the pain is really bad just to walk. But, worst of all…my UTV broke! Yeah, I have a 14 year old UTV that is a workhorse around the place. Literally, I use it every day for work, it’s not a pleasure/fun UTV to go joy riding. I haul dirt and rock, firewood, tools, water, etc. and I mean it…I use it every single day at the place for work. Well, it broke. And UTVs do break, especially when they are used as work vehicles. No big deal…I’ll just fix it. I identified the broken part…a mid-prop shaft (imagine two universal joints yoked together). I looked up the part in my Polaris shop manual, called the local dealer with my debit card in hand, and ordered the part. Well, almost. The parts guy told me the news you don’t want to hear…”Sorry sir, they don’t make that part anymore, it’s no longer available.” Yeah, and 5 days of phone calls later trying to find a new one, or even a used, one at a junk yard had proven entirely unsuccessful. Today I meet with a machine shop to see if they can make me a new part. The day I wrote “crotchety” was the day after the unsuccessful search for a replacement part. And the realization that I don’t have $6,000 that it would take to replace that workhorse machine with an equivalent machine. And to top it all off…my wife has a family reunion in early October (yeah, 3 weeks away). Big deal? Well, normally no. But, she’s invited them here to see the new house and what we’ve done with the 40 acres. Am I anywhere near ready for her showing the place off? Ah, no…and the pressure mounts.

But, all of this is called life…and pales in comparison to what I know some of you are going through. How do I know that? Because I know some of ya’ll personally and I know there are much worse circumstances out there for some of you.

Now, what I want to do is hear from you guys. I am posting a form below and I am going to ask you two questions:

1. What types/kinds of articles would you like to see me concentrate on?
2. What types/kinds of articles would you like to see me not write?

The answers will help me immensely as I try to figure out where my time is best spent.

Also, I am asking for names and email addresses on the form. First, don’t worry, I am not going to abuse that information or sell it or anything of the sort. I have something cooking in my head and having that information to connect with you would be important.

The last “comment” on the form is for any personal message, good or bad, you wish to share with me.

Again, thank you for the incredible comments, thoughts, feelings, compliments, and encouragements that you shared with me. They meant something to me, they meant a lot.
